When a vampire is hungry and isn't quite so decent or hard up as to lower himself to only buying blood at the butcher's or trapping and draining small animals instead, their dietary supplement of preference is human blood. { Am is a vampire -- and I am all for prompts 1, 3, 4, and accidental 6 for him as the vamp... Feeding for him is intense for all parties involved, deeply emotional for him which can overflow toward the victim if desired. Killing therefore is an emotional endeavor for him as well, so he doesn't do it unless it's a dire situation/hunger or he has a lack of control over himself -- so sips off people are his preference anyway, and blood gotten from other sources (medical blood bags) are what he tries to survive on as hunting leaves him feeling very overwrought afterward.

Or, I'm willing to AU him as human! He was born in the 1800s and met his sire through musical theatre, and I am open to Ambrose having had a different situation that leads him to falling for a vampire/being turned. Interested in same prompts as above, with 5 added in.

While some of her species scoffed at working with 'animals', Claudia had no such hang-ups. It wasn't as if vampires couldn't be every bit as feral, but everyone always wanted to conveniently overlook such details. To her, skill was skill, no matter what the person wielding it was. They all had different advantages so why not make the most of that rather than being stuck on some silly preconceived notion?

Besides, there was something incredibly alluring about a were's energy. Perhaps it hearkened back to her years spent in the wilds of Europe or her pagan roots.

That night saw her out of the country attending a gala for another leader, some stuffed-shirt with only a few centuries under his belt. Not someone she cared for but she'd been invited personally and declining wasn't worth the political headache. NYC had been restless as of late so she opted to leave her usual entourage at home to ensure chaos didn't try to start in her (hopefully) brief absence. Honestly she was feeling confident enough for no guard detail -- it could get rather grating how since she'd become royalty some suddenly forgot she was quite capable of defending herself and had been doing so for centuries -- but her advisor talked her into at least enlisting one bodyguard for the trip. The young werehyena came highly recommended, and truthfully once Claudia saw him she needed no further convincing.

It initially seemed that the gala would be boring for both of them but not long after midnight such illusions were shattered. His senses picked up something hers didn't and he bid her to move from the ballroom only moments before chaos erupted in a hail of gunfire and literal fire. Assassination attempts were hardly out of the ordinary, although they had lessened in recent decades, and it wasn't difficult to imagine some group found the idea of multiple leaders in one confined space too tempting a target to pass up.

Eventually they made it back to the relative safety of her hotel suite but not unharmed. Claudia winced as she pulled a piece of glass from her skin, not for the first time lamenting how windows and glassware exploded so easily. She didn't sense any grave wounds, mostly just a few cuts and a couple mild burns, but the burns had taken most of her energy to prevent from being worse than they were and because of that the cuts continued to slowly bleed.

In her injured state the smell of the were's blood was stronger than ever but she refused to let it cloud her mind. "Are you alright?" she asked as she looked to him, trying to assess his condition. Claudia doubted he made it out unscathed either and she wasn't so selfish as to ignore another's injury. Especially not when that person likely saved her life.

[ keeping tabs on McCree isn't difficult. Usually it's just a matter of watching the news. Vigilante or criminal, anyone who likes bullets and heroics as much as he does will get more than his 15 seconds of fame. Tracking him down, however, involves some effort. Unsurprising since he's still alive, somehow staying ahead of the hunters from both sides of the law out for his blood.

Tonight, Sombra might count herself among them—except she'd rather not see it spilled on these streets, wasted. Especially when he so rarely stays in the same zip code as her for long. Sharpened by anticipation, the edge of her hunger presses against her in an almost pleasant way as she makes her way through the city, passing hospitals, bars, nightclubs. She could satisfy it with any warm body in those places... but they pale ( ha ) in comparison with someone she knows.
