ROLES
1) The General/Admiral: You're the head honcho, the guy in charge. You have hundreds, maybe thousands of lives resting on you. What decision will you make?

2) The Officer: Not the leader, but you've got responsibility for your crew. What's your specialty -- independent initiative? Insubordination? Or do you let the noncoms walk all over you?

3) The Soldier: Just an ordinary soldier with your pike, or rifle, or energy gun. Your job is to follow orders. But when it comes down to it, when you look the enemy in the eye -- what will you do?

4) Spy: Dressed in civilian clothes, disguised as an enemy officer. Your job is to get as much information as you can, and then get out. Or are you going to sow a little chaos and destruction along the way?

5) Civilian: This is your land that's being fought over. Do you support a side? Do you hide, or do you hold steady in the face of such violence?

6) Other.

SCENARIOS
1) Battle: In the middle of the fighting.

2) Downtime/R&R: A few peaceful moments, to spend as you will.

3) Sabotage: Something's gone terribly wrong. A factory blown up, a bridge destroyed, an assassination. What do you do about it?

4) Planning: How do you go about storming that beach?

5) Capture/Rescue: The enemy soldiers have you surrounded. Or maybe you're on a daring mission to break your buddies out of jail.

6) Other.

TIME PERIOD
1) Ancient times: Grab that centurion's helmet, form up into a phalanx, and let's go crush those Gauls and/or Persians!

2) Medieval times: Suit up in your armor, grab a lance and make sure to bring along your squire.

3) Revolutionary times: Basic guns and muskets, very little medical care, and very little tactics. Give the other army a few days to dig in, and they'll hold you off forever.

4) World War I/II: Technology is advancing, and warfare is more sophisticated than ever. Remember the trenches, the skirmishes in cities, the spies and the drama.

5) Modern times: Guerilla warfare, modern tactics, modern technology.

6) The future: Ray guns? Space battles? Let your imagination go wild.

7) Other.

[ His back is to him. There's sweat under his helmet, hair sticking to his skull and the taste of blood on his tongue from a bleeding lip. Charley doesn't remember who'd hit him first, but it only fuels his stubbornness to resist the few who surround them. He's trying quickly to think of anything, a plan or something to get them clear of this mess—even if he wasn't the one to have gotten them into it in the first place. Weaponless, he clenches his fists. Then, clenches his teeth.

His voice is barely a whisper, hissed. He doesn't want them to overhear much of what he's saying. ]

[Many of the warriors in their party are complaining that the dark Svartalfheim winter is freezing them to death, but Loki doesn't mind the cold. He's more concerned about the mists that surround their campsite. He can sense magic in the pale fog, and he knows it wouldn't be unlike their Dark Elf foes to mount an attack through it. He stares moodily out across the dark river by which they're camped, facing away from the fire the warriors have made. His breath makes steam in the air in front of him, but it disperses and does not hang like the fog. He's starting to wonder if Thor's idea of a direct attack may have been incredibly foolish.

He looks over at his older brother, whose face is lit by the bright fire. He'll feel better if he warns Thor, he thinks, even if Thor won't heed the warning. He gets to his feet and silently steps toward Thor. A few of the warriors go quiet as he approaches them, watching him with the vague curiosity or disdain that most warriors give him; most do not notice him at all. He lowers himself to a crouch near Thor and speaks softly to him.]

Brother, come with me to the riverside for a moment. I wish to show you something.

The attraction between her and her target was immediate. Agatha - preferring to be referred to as "Arthur" by her superiors and "Adele" by the people she was fooling with her French identity - had known then that that factor would only make it easier to continue with her orders to get close to this particular German officer.

Although American by birth, her French and accented German was flawless. Her cover profession of being an archivist and typist was perfect for giving her access to documents coming through the offices and the affair she was having with the German officer she had been assigned to was further cover she needed to secure an ear in the doings of other German soldiers he associated with.

Getting a few glances over the papers he would have out at times when she came over to his apartment was also a benefit (especially with her photographic memory) and something she planned to take advantage of tonight, as well, knocking on his door like she had so many nights before.

So far, it seemed like everything was falling into place with very few hitches cropping up (she had gotten a few looks from other German officers - also with French girls going to their beds - and some tried to grill her with questions when her target had left them alone for a moment). She kept her cover, she seemed to be convincing everyone (except the few other agents also stationed in the city).

Agatha just hadn't counted on her stomach fluttering every time she saw the officer - as if she was actually happy to see him. She refused to believe that was the case. She just chalked it up to the adrenaline of the mission itself, it never quite went away completely.

[Carter doesn't know why everyone's so skittish around the mercenary General Dagett hired to help fight the Nazis. Sure, he's foreign, but everyone's foreign here, and the mask is only a little funny looking. People shouldn't be so distrustful, especially when there's a war on. Colonel Hogan's put out the order not to give Bane any more information than he absolutely needs, but that doesn't stop Carter from trying to get friendly.]

This is a bitty baby one, it's too big for sabotage like we're gonna do tonight, I'm hoping we can use it on our next assassination run. All you gotta do is plant it close enough.

[By showing off his collection of handmade IEDs hidden in the furthest end of the tunnels underneath Stalag 13. It's something Carter thinks a mercenary would be interested in. He handles the devices carefully, even though they're not yet armed, and gushes over them as if they were his children.]

[Considering what the Cure had done, wiping out most of their numbers, the fact there were even enough X-Men to gather against the Brotherhood is a feat all its own. However the odds were still stacked against them. The warehouse was supposedly a storing station where records of all mutants who were tested on were located.

So on one hand there was the Brotherhood and on the other, loathsome humans. Though most had fled by now. The building was falling down around them while Rogue was specifically looking for any people lingering, stuck in the cross hairs. After all most people were simply employed at this facility, not knowing it's owner was one of the largest lobbyists that was anti-mutant.

Another explosion shakes the building. Too many of these, and she's sure the building is going to collapse.]
