It had been an entire year since Bucky’s last trip to America, and at least nine months since he’d even thought about it: about what he’d done, about what he’d dared, about what he’d allowed the other man to do. And entire year-and-change had passed since then and while the man has cropped up in his thoughts every now and then it’d been to no great consequence. So it was quite the shock for Bucky that, on strolling into Shuri’s lab, he should run into none other than Tony Stark.

Oh, re-introductions had gone well enough, and Bucky had offered a handshake, keeping the pressure deliberately light. And he’d waved Shuri back to her guest; Bucky had only dropped in for a calibration check, largely unnecessary at this point, and he could easily come back unless she was looking for a guinea pig to show off scanning technology to Mr. Stark? So it was that Tony had gotten another demonstration of Wakandan technology, and so it was that they’d found themselves together in the hallway outside the lab afterwards.

Bucky studied the other man sidelong for a moment or two. Tony looked— Tony looked like Tony, worn at the edges and with the weight of too much responsibility in eyes. Meanwhile Bucky knew that he likely appeared entirely different: calmer, more at ease. He’d allowed his hair to grow out a little, kept it neater than it was. He wore the clothes of the nation, a soft tunic and pants subtly embroidered with traditional designs. And he no longer carried his demons as heavily as once he had.

[ Sometimes― okay more like most of the time Leon feels the need to get away from his responsibilities and spend some alone time with his girlfriend. Due to how busy both of their lives are, it's rare for them to get some serious alone time. So when he was finally able to break away from his duties, of course he chooses a hotel as their destination for the day.

Specifically, a love hotel. The room he books for them is actually quite fancy and lavish. Of course, since he's Leon Zhong he wants nothing but the best for him and Mio. Inside the room, there's a large window that opens up to the balcony, which provides a splendid view of the city. Along with that, the bathroom is just as lavish and inside there's a shower and jacuzzi. There's also a mini fridge and nightstand drawer for the occupants to use. With this being a love hotel, there's of course going to be items available for the couples to use.

But as if it hasn't been iterated enough, this is Leon Zhong and he does what he pleases. So naturally, he's going to bring his own items.

So once they were settled in, Leon wastes no time changing into his cop uniform. (minus the sunglasses because that would be dumb if he wore those... ) The outfit wasn't the only thing he brought, strapped to his belt is a pair of handcuffs and a police baton but it's pretty obvious that it's not actually a baton and that it has other uses.
