Grooming is an important part of many species' rituals. It keeps them clean, healthy, and content. And a good bath? It can change the whole tone of a day from terrible to relaxed and blissful. But nudity is sometimes viewed as a weakness - and it is almost always sexualized - so bathing is often kept a private matter. If you do share these moments with someone, they're almost always a significant other or a sexual partner. Like you're doing now. Whether it be after a battle or after sex (or before sex, even), the two of you are going to get clean. Be sure to help each other out with that, won't you? After all, there are places on the back that just can't be reached... HOW TO PLAY: Comment with your character, your prefs, etc. If there are other grooming-related practices or kinks you'd like to include, like shaving, hair washing, mention them! Reply to others!

armand is generally too eager in his curiosity, and too aggressive in his affection, so him bathing your character will probably go one of two ways: a) depressed/injured-for-dumb-reason/anxious/etc character getting some of the most vigorous h/c of their life, courtesy of a vexed immortal giving them a scrub-down that is the opposite of sensual. or b) soft, tender, sort of unsettling attention. possibly both.

The fact that she's still decided to go through with it is a testament to her patience, despite the fact that she's smiling at the other girl like what she's about to say is of utmost importance and not so much a question as opposed to a suggestion because the water's high enough that there's scarcely enough room for all the bubbles foaming up without risking an overflow.]

The run had been one of the best days Isaac could remember. Having taken down a buck with Derek only heightened the feeling Isaac had. They'd shred the kill, Isaac letting Derek take the best, but the beta noticed that there had been some good meat still left. Had Derek just missed it? Or had it been left? In wolf form, Isaac couldn't ask, and knew that he wouldn't ask when he transformed back.

He didn't want the real answer, didn't want the illusion to be crushed and dismissed.

Instead, he raced to the door with Derek right behind him and Isaac shifted back, hitting the wall hard, feeling the rough brick against his skin, expecting Derek to have him against the wall. Instead, Isaac made it into the building and then into the elevator.

[For a warrior and lord, there's nothing better at the end of a battle than a nice, steaming hot bath. It's a chance to cleanse the body. There's blood to be washed out from under fingernails, grime to wash out of hair, scars to inspect—new and old. But for most, it's a spiritual cleansing as well. One nice, hot bath prepared by vassals can mark the end of one trial and the beginning of the next. It's a chance to begin anew, if only briefly, a chance to concentrate and think and move on. In those ways, a bath is a wonderful thing.

Unfortunately, Masamune doesn't get to have that bath.

Whether he was looking forward to it or not, a familiar sight greets him when he opens the door to his private bath. A scarred man sits in his filled tub. Clawed hands grasp a wooden brush, the one Masamune usually uses to scrub his back. Furred ears flick toward the direction of the feudal lord, drops of water flinging and landing on the floor outside of the tub.

Royal stares right into Masamune's eye as he lowers the brush into the water and uses it to scrub his junk.]

Shouldn't you knock or something? This is a private moment.

[Or a 'privates' moment? The self-proclaimed wolf spirit scrubs a little harder. He's taking a liking to this human he plans to defeat, unfortunately for literally everyone else in the country.]

[ She's easy to take his hand when he comes in the door. A silent tug that she doesn't bother to explain as she lets him shut it behind him, and she reaches for the black notebook in his band, removing it to drop it on the table - $50, an old woman's that some sanding and polish fitted better to the room than she could find elsewhere for all her looking - the rest of the movement is given to pulling him the rest of the way down to her.

Because she suspects he's going to ask what she's doing, what this is about - and it is much easier to kiss him before he can ask. Tilting her head to slant her mouth over his as she walked back into the house. Missing the table a little, as it turns out, hearing the book clatter onto the floor. But she only cares so much as it means that both her hands are free now and she can get at his tie, laughing in a breath in. Tugging at it to get it loose in quick gestures. Mercy was the day cravats fell out of fashion.

Because it had been days and days since she had this moment, between his shifts, his hours and the drag back and forth from New Orleans and the speeches and the instructional talks she had to do to keep up her appearances otherwise.

No time, not time for this: this and just them.

She parted from him only when the tie was undone, and she could pull it off and drop it unceremoniously to the ground between them. ]

[Kat's makeshift tunnel home has always been furnished by assorted detritus scavenged from around Hekseville and elsewhere, so it was only a matter of time before she found a bathtub. Showers are all well and good, but sometimes you just wanna soak.

And frankly, after all the work of getting the thing situated, and rigging the shower to sit above the tub itself, Kat's exhausted and in dire need of some relaxation. So she pops the plug in at the bottom, fills it up with hot water, paces impatiently the whole time it takes to fill it, and once it's ready, she immediately disrobes and jumps in.

It's a pretty decent-sized tub, hence the difficulty getting it into the house in the first place, big enough for at least two people. As Kat reclines against the side, her hair hanging out against the metal side of the tub, there's still room enough for someone else to squeeze in, if they pull their legs in enough. Kat's busy doing her best to stretch out her legs and make use of all that room when she hears the curtain pull back, and she reflexively sits up with her hand over her chest.]

SYD, I TOLD YOU TO-... O-Oh! Hey, Raven! Look what I found!

[She lets herself sink back into the water, throwing out her arms and kicking up a naked leg for dramatic flair as she demonstrates her new treasure.]

A real bathtub! Hey! You should get in, too! You can help me wash my hair!
