Today, she's wearing absolutely nothing, lounging on the bed, reading a book. She's cleared her schedule for the afternoon, and sincerely hopes he does the same.

Noctis certainly needs to have a child. There was never any doubt he had to marry a... capable woman. That's how the council of elders had phrased it in their old slightly sexist way. They meant no harm but he sighed every time they reminded him he needed to get on with his 'kingly' duties, by which they meant knock Brigid up. He wanted to be a father, sure. He wanted to be a father to her babies. He wanted a little wolf baby, even if it would likely never fully turn. Just the eyes and the teeth and the claws like his wife. That was enough to scare the piss out of someone. Not him though. Maybe that's why they worked so well together... anyway.
He is aware of the rumor mill. People with too much time on their hands will gossip around their circles and before you know it Brigid is pregnant or cheating or divorcing Noctis and he's having an affair or he's secretly gay. He wonders what it will be this time. The press and the gossips sure do write interesting tales.
He's relieved to get the summons from his wife. He overplays it to his advisors and insists it must be an emergency since Brigid does it so infrequently. He hopes she's calling him to their bed, maybe she'll be wearing something skimpy... or nothing at all. He licks his lips in the elevator on the way to their floor high in the sky. You can see the city skyline from here, it's beautiful. But Noctis isn't looking at it. He's watching his wife read like it's the most natural thing to do while in the nude.
She seems absorbed by that so for the moment he strips out of his suit until he crawls into bed next to her just as naked. "You reading about religion again?" he wraps an arm around her waist and kisses her shoulder, then her neck, then her jaw. He is trying so hard not to make a stupid pun. He's come to worship.

She snuggles back against the warm body that is her husband. And of course, she wouldn't summon him just willy nilly. There is a kingdom to run after all. Something that she thinks is actually more important than the fact that she gets lonely without him and misses having her friends close by.
She arches her neck, smiling when he kisses her. That's why she'd called him here today. She'd opted for naked, because while she likes being peeled out of her clothing, that takes time and, really, their time alone will probably be truncated by some advisor with some sort of emergency.
Brigid puts the book to the side and rolls over to kiss her husband. "No, fairy tales." She whispers against his mouth. Her fingers tip tap down his spine and one foot rubs along his.
"So, husband-mine." She whispers, tracing up his spine. "I was thinking. Maybe we should give those belly watchers something to watch." She trails her hand slowly down his side to rest on his hip. "What do you say?"

He knows she made a lot of sacrifices to come here. Carlos and the others... even though he went to the trouble to relocate her pack here since... well pack. It was too much to ask her to basically go Omega to become his queen. He likes Marcus anyway. And Marcus seems to like him. Or he liked his power and influence but... well that was good enough, right?
He likes peeling her clothes off but he does that enough at the end of long days or before bathtime. Sometimes it's nice to come home to a delicious meal already served. He will inevitably get something from an advisor or some urgent message on his phone. He's ignoring it all. He's the king and he gets that makes him more of a servant to the people despite his title but... dammit he's allowed to take time off to be with his wife. The council certainly complains enough about the lack of an heir, they ought to support this time off for him and Brigid.
"Fairy tales. You mean you read about princes and princesses and magic and werewolves?" he raises an eyebrow. "How exotic." he steals a second kiss from her while twining red hair around his fingers. His other hand moves along her curves and grabs a fistful of her bum.
"If anybody is watching your belly I'll send them away from the citadel. But if you want to put something in it... then I agree it's time." he hoisted her over him as he rolled onto his back. He can kiss her chest at this angle so easy and wrap his lips around a nipple, sucking softly.
Really, the role of adviser only prepared you for so much these days. As observant as Ignis was, he began to see the signs very early, but he told himself he was being ridiculous. There was simply no chance of this happening.

Ignis Scientia's mind came into absolute meltdown once Noctis invited him into his room and the truth came out.

If a brain was capable of emitting external noise while the host appeared as calm as possible, Ignis was demonstrating that phenomenon in action very well.
When he felt changes in his body Noctis did what came naturally to him when uncomfortable truths appeared. He remained willfully ignorant for a long as possible. Sensitivity to smell? No no, he was always a sensitive person. Nausea? No, he just ate too much. Sleeping more? Well, he never can get his fill of sleep so... but he knew. He knew with increasing certainty what this was and he hadn't wanted to know but at the same time, he really had to know. It was with great humiliation and anxiety that he obtained his pregnancy test. His soul left his body through the entire transaction, even though the clerk at the drug store didn't even seem to notice it. Well, Noctis had hidden the thing between so many bottles of Jetty's and chip bags the teen girl didn't have to pay much attention to it.
Noctis had a massive weight on his back from then on. He knew it was going to read positive. He just knew it and even when he saw the thing after it finished his heart sank. It was real then. He knew he had to tell Ignis before he got too chicken shit to do it. While he was still numb from the positive test result he called him over. He washed the test off and put it in a plastic baggie.
And here they are now. He didn't think he'd be afraid for Ignis' response that he wanted his lover to be... Well. He wasn't sure what he wanted. He wanted to stop feeling so awful about this. He just looks away.

Like anything however, there were always spoilsports trying to ruin the skaters by "accidentally" tripping them or even poisoning them.

They house was all one level with the exception of the basement. Yuri had been paid handsomely for his wins so the place had the latest tech and the like. Some walls you could even change to seem as if you're looking out at a desert or forest, complete with matching sounds and day and night cycles that matched those actually outside.
Nickov had helped Yuri to bed, setting their dinner dishes in the washer and then putting another together of fruit and cheese as an after-dinner snack. He even found a bar of chocolate, which he added to the plate before bringing it to Yuri. Setting it down beside him, he kissed his mate's temple affectionately.
It was bizarre being a skater worthy of a bodyguard. Yuri was just a kid from a little town on earth. Nothing special, just another run of the mill skater, he wasn't even that good. He swears! But it's different in space. Aliens seem to appreciate the skill of this sport more than some humans. And Yuri was able to find his confidence out there in the stars. He really came into his own and won his fair share of gold medals before he had to take a year off due to baby.
Well, maybe two years. There's no telling when this thing would pop. At six months he had months to go as a human but... who knew with Nickov's people. He just put the 12 months figure out of his mind. If he thought about that too long he would need a nap or something to put it out of his mind. He had to remember he was happy and he liked being pregnant.
But how big would this baby be, would it be big like its father? Nick was huge, Yuri didn't know what to expect. Could he survive twelve months? This is all new, maybe humans can't stay pregnant that long! Okay okay no more internal monologue. That isn't helping.
He's happy in their futuristic house. It makes him calm, he feels settled here and he swears the baby does too. He had the walls looking out onto a beach right now, like the ones in Hasetsu. He had called his family already today. They were eager for news about the baby but all he can say right now is 'still kicking' and did that little bugger kick. They sure had a lot of energy... He needed Nick to help him to bed most of the time. Their kid was just so... it's like they wanted out and he knew they weren't ready. He just wondered how energetic they'd be when they were grown.
They wouldn't be grown in months like a Valcovlian would they? The thought makes him sad. He wants an adorable baby to love on for a few years...
Oh. Cheese. And fruit. And kisses! Very nice~ He smiles at Nick and pats the bed next to him. "You must be tired too. I'm sorry you have to work so hard because of me."
It was rare that a species brought something entirely new to the rest of the galaxy like ice skating had. There were others who did have "winter sports" but apparently none had thought of dancing on blades upon ice. Hockey was also getting picked up as a result, though mostly for the brawling factor.
The doctors could only estimate when Yuri would be ready. Unless the developing pup went through a big growth spurt, it was likely to be another six months. So far, he'd been progressing along at the rate of a Valcovlian.
There was an added concern as the pup developed, which was why their visits to the doctors though annoying, were vital. It was unknown if the placenta the pup was growing within would be like that of a female Valcovlian's, as it was tougher than leather as the young did indeed have claws, which it stretched even in the womb. If Yuri didn't develop this protective inner bubble as it were, the pup could accidentally claw its way out of him before it was even fully developed. So they had to keep an eye on things, in the event it became too great a risk, they'd have to remove the fetus early and let it finish developing in an incubation tube. Not ideal but it was necessary if Yuri didn't want to become a real life aliens-esque host.
For now, there was no danger, the pup had only just become something resembling something other than a lumpy mass and seemed to delight in its new ability to kick.
Nickov settled down beside Yuri, stealing a grape and then moving to lay his head on Yuri's belly, purring to help soothe their growing pup.
"I am fine, do not be sorry." he assured him. After all, it was as much of his fault as it was Yuri's they were to be parents. But he wouldn't trade it, he'd always wanted a family and they paired well together. Even if Yuri decided to return to the rink and never see their child again, he'd be happy.
I hope it's ok I call him Nick as a sort of pet name?
Yuri wasn't the one who brought skating to space, he was just one of the masters of it. Or so people said. He was good... he can't deny it, he was damn good and he loved that people loved it so much. He loved sharing that love with the galaxy and that set him apart from other skaters. Some humans liked performing but preferred to keep theirs a human only talent. Yuri had every intention of coaching when he was finished competing. And who knows. The way this baby is going that may be sooner than he thought... this kid was hefty and Yuri knew he had a while yet to go. He wasn't huge for a human so he hoped that didn't hurt him. Sometimes he wondered how he ended up with an alien so much bigger than him like Nick.
Nick was a gentle giant though. When he could be. Yuri saw that in him and thus he was unafraid of him. He saw the best in his mate and didn't linger on the thoughts of what he was capable of. What their baby may be capable of in months or years after birth...
He was frightened enough already after the doctor's lecture about claws, thanks. He doesn't need to know more. The idea of his own baby ripping out of him while it was still premature... he didn't want to think about that lest he get anxiety again. He doesn't like the idea of a incubation tube either. He told Nick he wants to give birth. He wants to have his baby even if it's via c-section. He wants to be there to hear its first cries. He wants that blessed human moment...
And then the little one kicked again. Yuri winced. Well, he will take that as a second from jr...
"I know. I just feel like a burden to you. I'm getting more tired than ever and I know it will just get worse." he popped a grape into his mouth. Then a cheese cube. Then he curled up against his love and their baby kicked against its father. "Ah, hi daddy." he chuckled, speaking for the baby. Yuri had every intent of staying to raise it. Nickov might be happy having a baby and nothing else from Yuri but nothing could keep him from his baby, absolutely nothing. Except death... which he hopes doesn't befall him in trying to have this one.
He had hopes of having more than one child but he had to see how this one went before he considered more.

As for scenario, maybe when Wakka retired from sports, he moved into Usagi's neighborhood, and the two of them eventually fall in love? Or maybe she was a friend of his younger brother's, before Wakka was famous, and now that he's back in town, they can finally tell each other how they feel.
Whether they are planning to start a family on purpose, or it's more of an accident in the heat of the moment, I'm cool either way!]

He even found a bar of chocolate, which he added to the plate before bringing it to Yuri. Setting it down beside him, he kissed his mate's temple affectionately.

It was bizarre being a skater worthy of a bodyguard. Yuri was just a kid from a little town on earth. Nothing special, just another run of the mill skater, he wasn't even that good. He swears! But it's different in space. Aliens seem to appreciate the skill of this sport more than some humans. And Yuri was able to find his confidence out there in the stars. He really came into his own and won his fair share of gold medals before he had to take a year off due to baby.
Well, maybe two years. There's no telling when this thing would pop. At six months he had months to go as a human but... who knew with Nickov's people. He just put the 12 months figure out of his mind. If he thought about that too long he would need a nap or something to put it out of his mind. He had to remember he was happy and he liked being pregnant.
But how big would this baby be, would it be big like its father? Nick was huge, Yuri didn't know what to expect. Could he survive twelve months? This is all new,
maybe humans can't stay pregnant that long! Okay okay no more internal monologue. That isn't helping.
He's happy in their futuristic house. It makes him calm, he feels settled here and he swears the baby does too. He had the walls looking out onto a beach right now, like the ones in Hasetsu. He had called his family already today. They were eager for news about the baby but all he can say right now is 'still kicking' and did that little bugger kick. They sure had a lot of energy... He needed Nick to help him to bed most of the time. Their kid was just so... it's like they wanted out and he knew they weren't ready. He just wondered how energetic they'd be when they were grown.
They wouldn't be grown in months like a Valcovlian would they? The thought makes him sad. He wants an adorable baby to love on for a few years...
Oh. Cheese. And fruit. And kisses! Very nice~ He smiles at Nick and pats the bed next to him. "You must be tired too. I'm sorry you have to work so hard because of me."

The doctors could only estimate when Yuri would be ready. Unless the developing pup went through a big growth spurt, it was likely to be another six months. So far, he'd been progressing along at the rate of a Valcovlian.
There was an added concern as the pup developed, which was why their visits to the doctors though annoying, were vital. It was unknown if the placenta the pup was growing within would be like that of a female Valcovlian's, as it was tougher than leather as the young did indeed have claws, which it stretched even in the womb. If Yuri didn't develop this protective inner bubble as it were, the pup could accidentally claw its way out of him before it was even fully developed. So they had to keep an eye on things, in the event it became too great a risk, they'd have to remove the fetus early and let it finish developing in an incubation tube. Not ideal but it was necessary if Yuri didn't want to become a real life aliens-esque host.
For now, there was no danger, the pup had only just become something resembling something other than a lumpy mass and seemed to delight in its new ability to kick.
Nickov settled down beside Yuri, stealing a grape and then moving to lay his head on Yuri's belly, purring to help soothe their growing pup.
"I am fine, do not be sorry." he assured him. After all, it was as much of his fault as it was Yuri's they were to be parents. But he wouldn't trade it, he'd always wanted a family and they paired well together. Even if Yuri decided to return to the rink and never see their child again, he'd be happy.
I hope it's ok I call him Nick as a sort of pet name?
Yuri wasn't the one who brought skating to space, he was just one of the masters of it. Or so people said. He was good... he can't deny it, he was damn good and he loved that people loved it so much. He loved sharing that love with the galaxy and that set him apart from other skaters. Some humans liked performing but preferred to keep theirs a human only talent. Yuri had every intention of coaching when he was finished competing. And who knows. The way this baby is going that may be sooner than he thought... this kid was hefty and Yuri knew he had a while yet to go. He wasn't huge for a human so he hoped that didn't hurt him. Sometimes he wondered how he ended up with an alien so much bigger than him like Nick.
Nick was a gentle giant though. When he could be. Yuri saw that in him and thus he was unafraid of him. He saw the best in his mate and didn't linger on the thoughts of what he was capable of. What their baby may be capable of in months or years after birth...
He was frightened enough already after the doctor's lecture about claws, thanks. He doesn't need to know more. The idea of his own baby ripping out of him while it was still premature... he didn't want to think about that lest he get anxiety again. He doesn't like the idea of a incubation tube either. He told Nick he wants to give birth. He wants to have his baby even if it's via c-section. He wants to be there to hear its first cries. He wants that blessed human moment...
And then the little one kicked again. Yuri winced. Well, he will take that as a second from jr...
"I know. I just feel like a burden to you. I'm getting more tired than ever and I know it will just get worse." he popped a grape into his mouth. Then a cheese cube. Then he curled up against his love and their baby kicked against its father. "Ah, hi daddy." he chuckled, speaking for the baby. Yuri had every intent of staying to raise it. Nickov might be happy having a baby and nothing else from Yuri but nothing could keep him from his baby, absolutely nothing. Except death... which he hopes doesn't befall him in trying to have this one.
He had hopes of having more than one child but he had to see how this one went before he considered more.
