Wild Card: meaning of stars

On the night sky the stars were visible, countless tiny bright spots. From time to time Tyrion looked up from the book he was reading, to throw a quick glance at the sky. He had read about the seven constellations and could name them, but he had difficulties to find them at the sky. To him all the stars appeared to be the same.

He continued reading and soon lost himself in the book, therefore he didn't hear that someone was entering the library. Tyrion was never someone who could easily sleep and therefore he spend most of the night in the library where he could read without getting disturbed.

A soft breeze came into the room through the open window. Tyrion felt the swift touch of the breeze on his skin. He closed the book, got up from the chair he had occupied and closed the window. It wasn't really cold but without a blanket he would definitely begin to freeze, therefore he decided to take the book with him and go to his room.

He had nearly reached his destination when he stopped in the middle of a floor. Someone stood there, with his back turned towards him. It was obvious that this person wasn't a knight. Tyrion allowed himself to marvel over the question for a second who would leave the bed at such an unholy hour. And for what reason?

After a few more steps he knew who was standing there. One more thing we have in common. he thought, fully aware that they both had some demons that were keeping them awake. With soft steps he came closer, pausing on a short distance. "Do you know what the Dothraki say about stars?" His question was just a whisper and he hoped that he wouldn't frighten her.

When Tyrion had recognized that the person standing at the window was no one else than his wife, he knew what was going on in her head. He couldn't take her sadness away and she wouldn't allow him to hold her in his arm to comfort her but he could give her something to believe in.

[ It's been... a day. A full day of ayakashi hunting, dealing with minor things here and there. All in a day's work, really. But nothing they couldn't handle. This war god and her assembly function like a well-oiled machine, after all. As long as she has her exemplar, she'll be fine.

But still, it's one of those days that led to one of those nights. Everyone at the manor has settled in. It's fairly late, after all. But somehow, there's someone who's still out of bed. Chalk it up to being unable to sleep for some reason or another.

She's out of bed, out of her room and by one of the large-ish windows in the hallway with her arms resting on the windowsill and her shawl over her shoulders. It's the one with a good view of the courtyard and an even better view of the sky out there. It's a nice view. Very calming. Probably exactly what she needed. ]
