Grooming is an important part of many species' rituals. It keeps them clean, healthy, and content. And a good bath? It can change the whole tone of a day from terrible to relaxed and blissful. But nudity is sometimes viewed as a weakness - and it is almost always sexualized - so bathing is often kept a private matter. If you do share these moments with someone, they're almost always a significant other or a sexual partner. Like you're doing now. Whether it be after a battle or after sex (or before sex, even), the two of you are going to get clean. Be sure to help each other out with that, won't you? After all, there are places on the back that just can't be reached... It's been an adjustment, moving into Bobbi's apartment. It's better than the prison, sure--the prison and the cell with Annie's blood and things he doesn't think about because it makes him too crazy--but it's not Annie's apartment, and it's not the bed he slept in for five years and he's still--adjusting. That's what they call it. Adjusting.

Bobbi's saved his life, he gets that. It's just--an adjustment. And now, he's standing in the foyer after a misguided attempt at a run away, except he wasn't really running away, he was just--sitting around this apartment, not doing anything, and it's the third week of sitting around the apartment doing nothing and--

--he figured maybe he'd just go for a jog around the park. Run around the neighborhood. Something. He didn't expect to end up trying to get a kid out of a mud pit. He didn't anticipate getting covered with the stuff. Angels were understandable. Demons were necessary. But Gods? Gods? Sam had very little interaction with gods. Angels and demons were very much in the Christian mindset, and even though he'd put down gods from across a lot of religions, nursing one back to health was completely out of his depth.

He'd accepted the job and found himself carrying in the assumed God of Thunder into his motel room with help from another hunter. Apparently, Thor had taken a beating and the hunters needed him on their side for a coming battle.

It was unfortunate that Sam couldn't ask Thor more details, considering the hunter was unhinging armor with an unconscious god on his double bed.

Still, Sam brought out a rag full of warm, soapy water to ease across Thor's forehead, then down his neck and across his bare chest. There were worse jobs, for sure.
