Caught in the rain

It started out quietly, and then, quite suddenly, you're caught in a storm. Time to find cover. Nothing much to do but to wait it out.

i WHERE:
001 PLAYGROUND - Well, you can try to hide under the slide or maybe in the jungle gym... at least you're some place fun?
002 PARK - Always happens, caught outside trying to take advantage of the weather... and it ends up pulling a fast one on you.
003 STORE FRONT - Better hope they have an awning you can take advantage of.
004 THE BEACH - Not exactly the best place to be during a rainstorm, however it is possible to get caught in a sudden storm.
005 WILD CARD - Anyway you want it.


ii HOW:
001 TREE - Not the best cover, but it'll have to do, stay close to the roots and you won't get too wet.
002 UMBRELLA - Most conventional... Kinda boring. But it works.
003 NEWSPAPER - Not permanent, but it'll have to do. Good luck.
004 BAG - Well... y'gotta do what you gotta do.
005 NONE - You know what. You're a rebel. You don't need cover. Screw convention.
006 WILD CARD - that's the way you need it.

001 REJECTED - Welp. Rejection sucks. And no one will see you crying in the rain.

003 MELANCHOLY - Sometimes the best place to feel a bit down is out in the rain.

[Rejection was really nothing new to him.

After a few hundred years he was used to not being seen by anybody.

And there's just enough humanity about him still that he'll hide from the rain in a tree. Sitting with legs dangling as he straddles the branch. They're swinging gently as he watches the rain fall, wishing it was colder out so he could at least bring some fun to the unknowing children about.

Instead...it's spring and the climate isn't all that friendly to his type of weather right now. Jack lets out a groan, not knowing that the tree just gained a new body avoiding the rain and leans against the trunk.]

Come on, weather. You could try not to match my mood for once.

[The forecast said partly cloudy. All week they promised partly cloudy on Saturday and rain on Sunday--Simon checked obsessively, he knows it's supposed to be perfect beach weather.

It's a big day; today's their first daytrip. It's Simon's first romantic daytrip ever, and he's pretty sure it's Bram's too. He's spent the last week sorting out all the details of this day. It's supposed to be romantic af, complete with a sunset from the pier. Movie shit, like the heteros.

But instead, he's sitting under the pier taking shelter from the sheets of rain coming down around them because he felt so certain he wouldn't even need a beach umbrella with the partial clouds.]

I swear I saw the weather this morning and it didn't say rain. It's not supposed to be raining!

[He's already apologized about three times--but he can't get over it. What a waste of a day. It doesn't look like it's gonna clear up any time soon.]

Illya lifted his jacket over their heads. Lightning lit up the night making his hair fluff out in all directions from the static electricity. It was followed closely by a rumble of thunder so near Illya could feel it in his bones.

"Come, Lois, we must get out of this rain." It was late and the only place he could see open was an all night diner. At least they could get something hot to drink while they waited in there for the storm to pass.
