First Kiss: Is there anything sweeter?

First Date: Are you super awkward and nervous or getting on like a house on fire?

First Meeting: Dropped your groceries? Bump into them on the subway? Party? Fender bender? The options are endless!

First Anniversary: You've made it an entire year without killing one another! Time to break open the bubbly.

First Pet: Dog or cat? Fish tank? Rhinoceros?

First House: Apartment in the city, or perfect white picket fenced home! Either way, better make the best of it.

Confession in the Heat of the Moment: You're about to go defeat the ultimate baddie. How about confessing your feelings to the person you love? Seems legit.

Sudden Kiss: Kiss from nowhere! There are lots of reasons for this: to stop someone from crying, to make them be quiet, or just to explain yourself when words can't.

First Time: A little awkward, a little exciting, always memorable. ( Unless you had to get drunk to get up the nerve.)

Hey, Can We Try...: You've been together, or at least doing it, for awhile, but one of you wants to try something new.

Childhood Sweethearts: You've loved them what seems like forever, ever since you were little.

Wedding Night: Have fun, newlyweds! Maybe one of you cut off the sex a couple months ago, just for tonight to be extra special.

With Nature: In a forest or a field, how could you not be happy with the sun or moon shining down and the beauty of nature around you?

Waking Up: Fluffy, sleepy, giggly morning sex.

[ It's very exciting. Loras had been, admittedly, a little nervous, because his family can be a little extra. But Highgarden is starting to reap the benefits of spring - the joy of being a southern home - so it's not perfect but it's beautiful. It's all decorated for Easter, with fairy lights strung in the trees even, so it's nice.

Which hopefully will be enough to charm Domeric from thinking too much about the Tyrell clan. Margaery had been lovely, of course. And Garlan had been polite and Willas had of course monopolized time talking about horses, which is fine. Less chances for Olenna to snark and for Mace to embarrass him.

Loras scrunches his nose when they're alone, in Loras' made up bedroom, and he opens up the window to let some fresh air in. ]

So far, so good? You're not going to run off in the middle of the night?

No, of course not.

[ Domeric laughs, leaning into Loras’ shoulder. If Highgarden isn’t perfect, he hasn’t noticed. For a northerner who spent most of his life living in the only slightly more temperate east, it may as well be something taken from a painting. He’s never seen such early signs of spring, and he thinks he wouldn’t want to run off in the middle of the night even if Loras weren’t here. ]

They’re lovely. Your entire family is lovely.

[ They are, really. They’re all much different from his own mild, quiet father and charming but troubled younger brother. He loves his family, but they’re not as close as Domeric would prefer. The Tyrells are. ]

Your grandmother is quite the character.

[ They really are nothing like the Boltons. Loras has to laugh. ]

She doesn't mince her words. I can tell she approves of you, though. Margaery, too.

[ And it is obvious that Loras holds Margaery's opinion in high regard. He starts to unpack his things - it may be a short stay, but he abhors living out of an overnight bag. ]

Tomorrow, I'll give you a proper tour.

[ There’s a reason Domeric doesn’t ever invite Loras to his family events, and it’s only partially because those events barely exist. His family, as small as it is, is difficult for most people to swallow. The Dreadfort isn't exactly the nicest place to bring visitors anyway. It's dimly lit and darkly decorated. Even Domeric himself has never been particularly fond of it.

He gets the impression that Loras is fine with it, though, and he doesn’t want to make things more awkward anyway. ]

No, she doesn’t. It’s fine. I like her, even if she did think I was mute for the first few minutes.

[ He chuckles, watching Loras with a soft smile as he begins to unpack. ]

I see why you like it here so much.

I think she was expecting ... Well. A Bolton.

[ He flashes Domeric an apologetic smile, then laughs a little and shrugs. Of course he likes it. It's home, and it's soft and quiet and very posh. ]

I like the city, too.

She was right to expect a Bolton.

[ But he smiles to show that he knows what Loras means. He’s very much the black sheep of his family, quiet in a less intimidating way than his father and all together more gentle than his brother. He vaguely wonders which they were expecting. ]

I like the city, but it can be stifling sometimes.

[ Creatively, and physically. ]

Have you ever been to the mountains?

Well, when you need a break, you're always welcome here.

[ He sits on the edge of the bed, patting the spot next to him. ]

I haven't. Even when I travel, I haven't had any time.

Just being with you helps, honestly.

[ It really does. It helps to make the world seem just a little bit smaller and a little bit quieter. He sits beside Loras on the bed, stretching his fingers over to his to weave them together. ]

I spent a lot of time there before coming back to the city. Most of my time. You and I should go there together sometime, if you’d like to.

[ When it warms up and the snow melts, of course. That’s become an unspoken rule. ]

Shhh.

[ He laughs, leaning over to nose at Domeric's cheek. ]

I'd love that. You can steal me away to wherever you want.

You shhh.

[ He leans away just enough to steal a quick kiss. ]

I can’t just steal you away.

[ Which he never would. He’s too practical not to allow a few days’ warning first. ]

It would be a little selfish of me.

I just gave you permission.

[ But, no, Loras supposes it's not reasonable. He's in the midst of competition season right now, so he can't just go away, but maybe off season ... ]

You're allowed to be a little selfish.

Maybe not that selfish.

[ He smiles gently. He knows Loras means well, but they both have things to do and schedules to keep. He intends to file the thought away, though, and put it to use later on. ]

I don’t want to do something to mess up your schedule. But I will be selfish. When your competition season is done.
