There are many modes of travel, and no limit to where you can go. So get out of your comfort zone, there's more beyond the borders of your galaxy.
Whether you end up in someone else's canonical verse, or someplace new entirely, you're definitely not where you started from.
• As easy as opening a book... Dream, hallucination, fantasy. It seems that you're found your way to Wonderland. The world you find yourself in isn't real, it's all in your head. Still, it doesn't keep you from exploring every inch of it.
• Doors and paths that don't exist... There was always something strange about the toy castle in the attic, or that one key that never fit any lock. You could say that curiosity has gotten the better of you, and now you're in a brand new world.
• Not in Kansas anymore... Whoops. It wasn't a good idea to push that button, or to fall through that rift, or say the words in that book aloud - whatever you did, you've accidentally flung yourself far from home.
• A funny thing happened on the way to... The GPS must have been broken, you never meant to end up jousting with dragons, or stealing towels from your friendly space travelers. Oh well, you've always wanted to take the scenic route.
• This is my day job... Intergalactic travel was just one stepping stone on to better things. Really, you have the ability to go anywhere, why wouldn't you take advantage of that? Your bags are packed, itinerary in hand - you've got it all planned out.
• Free choice
Whether you leave a blank comment, or start off with your own little blurb is up to you. Just have fun!

This lasts for seconds before she's racing forwards, stepping over him to inspect the mirror, not him, carefully avoiding touching it. Without looking: ]
Up. Get up.

Don't touch it, in case you're dragged through- let me.

I'm not stupid.
[She snatches the soap and throws it at the mirror -- it does nothing, just slides down and lands in the sink, at which point she feels slightly stupid because there's nothing on the other side of that mirror. There can't be. Except...
She spins to face her other self, making to grab his chin and turn his face from side to side. Social skills.
She's inspecting him. Beyond the initial, reactionary he looks nothing like me, she can acknowledge a resemblance that would suggest one parent in common, no evidence of plastic surgery...]
What's your father's name?
[For the purposes of collecting data about the world he's landed in, it's perhaps lucky for him that he's landed in the bathroom -- it's probably the most gendered room in the flat, clearly belonging to two women rather than two men. Two distinctly odd women, admittedly; there are the remnants of a frog dissection beside the sink, as well as mysterious vials ranged along the windowsill and a slightly forebodingly well-stocked medical kit lying open next to them.]

[He recalls, batting irritably at her hand, because would either of them ever tolerate that?]
And I'm Sherlock. Who on earth are you?
[What could be more telling than the way his eyes flick about the room, taking in all of it. It's a lot to absorb. For anyone, but more so for him, who sees all of it and compares it to his own reality.
He wonders if her hair is irritating at that length, and decides she'd probably cut it off if it were.]

[She says that with her eyes narrowed; it almost sounds like she's mimicking him instead of answering. Her first thought is we would have noticed if he were having an affair -- 'we' being the Holmes girls and 'he' being their father -- but that's trying to fit facts to theories, not the other way around, and she refuses to go down that route.
She steps back abruptly, eyes flickering over him; he still plays the violin, good, lives with -- some man, right, makes sense even if Sherlock finds the thought of Jane Watson not existing somewhere slightly sickening...he even has similar faint traces of chemical burns on his fingers. They apparently even own the same deep blue dressing gown, though in different sizes.
And the mirror. The mirror that doesn't make sense and that she is not going to try out herself, or not until she's really, really desperate. Chucking a bar of soap at it isn't exactly a thorough scientific test, after all. She wants to experiment with--]
--living tissue.
[As ever, her thoughts run too fast for her mouth -- but if he's who he's suggesting he is, she thinks he'll know what she's talking about.]
