[ to say that mitsunari and motochika were really "lovers" always seemed like a bit of a stretch. even now, mitsunari didn't fully believe that motochika was on his side (because he had no reason to trust a traitor to ieyasu's cause, even if that technically benefited him). no matter what motochika said or how long they fought together, he still always had a vague gleam of suspiscion in his eyes when he looked at him.
