THE "TAMED" MEME

You are one bad guy (or gal) and everyone knows it. Whether that definition is literal - you're evil and straight up bad - or more of the metaphorical badass, devil may care type is splitting hairs. Perhaps you're even known for bad habits: womanizing, unfriendliness, greed, bad attitude, snarkiness, nonchalance, reckless behavior, stoicism, illegal acts...mild sociopathy. You know, little things. No matter what the case may be, you have a reputation that makes just about every person who knows of you think you're always less than perfectly agreeable.

The key here is just about every person. There is one who knows the you that isn't always in on mode, one who can get past that rough exterior without getting destroyed by the natural disaster that is you. And they can do more than get past your defences; actually, when you're around them, you're over the moon. Like a big, gentle lap dog, you can't get over your affection for them, though with anyone else, and to protect that one special person, you're a raging wolf. Maybe you don't want to admit it, but them's the facts. Of course, you would never show this in public -

- in private, though? You're tamed, like it or not. Now, since you're more or less behind closed doors, you'll show them how good (or bad) you can be. Because no one else can compare. Because no one else could tame you. Will they understand and treat you with kindness and love? Will they tease you? Banish the thought that they would ever, ever use your feelings and difference in their presence to their advantage.

There are times when Jiaying finds she tires of the life she leads. But then, as the gift of life surges through her, restoring her youth and vitality, she remembers why she carries on.

She lets the cold corpse drop to the ground and checks her side where a bullet wound once was. Good.

"Is that the last of them?" she asks coolly. She doesn't like to be shot or injured, really. It hurts far too much. She's more the type who instigates. Case in point. The body behind her is the only kill count in her day today. To many, she's the kindly, and motherly teacher. It's the reason why she has many so loyal to her. Loyal enough that when her thirst for blood rises, she has reason enough to stir her people to action. Not that she has people anymore. They all died or decided to serve the enemy.

Now... she settles for Victor Creed.

ooc likewise! i'm vaguely aware of the walking dead, but i think i know enough to navigate if you wanted him to canon transplant, visa versa.

his canon is essentially our world, except that enough concentrated belief or attention gives power to the focal point - in his case, ancient worship of nature spirits, which became worship of leprechauns, which became lost. people aren't aware of it, these beings just carry on like normal people, clinging to life.

he's a crazy, story telling drunk, to most people. he mooches off them for luck and gold, and could easily end up shuffling after her for anything she'll give him. he is horribly foul mouthed and crass, as a warning.

[I haven't read the book lately but I'm caught up on the series. Alcuin's from a medieval fantasy canon but I'm transplanting him into AG canon.]

Alcuin had been heading out for the day when he found a very large and very red-headed man passed out on the steps of his building.

Considering this situation for a moment, Alcuin returned inside and shut the door. A few minutes later he reappeared with a mug of hot black tea with cream and sugar. Approaching carefully, he takes a seat on the steps nearby. "Good morning," he says, loudly, hoping that the stranger will awake without needing to be nudged.

[ Leeny is sulking under the lights of the carousel. She isn't mad that her date was a bust -- he was dull as dishwater, had no sense of humor, and threw a fit when she beat him at the carnival games -- but she's definitely put out that she got dressed up all cute and now nobody is here to appreciate it.

Plus, she scuffed her shoes when she kicked him in the dick for ruining her evening out, and she just bought them. God, that guy was so inconsiderate! ]

[Jerome had spent the evening venturing around the carnival with his goons. That was all they were to him, tools to use and entertain him. The games weren't worth his time and he didn't necessarily care for the rides. However, when he approached the bright lights of the carousel, he spotted the blond hair of a pretty girl that was for no clear reason, sitting alone.

Jerome had no reservations when he strutted up behind her where she sat.]

Now who would leave you here all alone? That's....careless.

[ She tipped her head back to look at him upside down. She saw him on the news, all of Gotham had, and she knew she should be afraid for her life in this moment. But what Leeny remembered the most about that terrible broadcast was how much she liked his smile, so she smiled at him now. ]

I've already forgotten his name. Luckily, a handsome stranger has just arrived to save me from a boring night.

Jerome. [He didn’t ask before snatching her hand so he could bring it to his lips and kiss it. She had flattered him so she had already made the right step which brought him to climb over the back of the bench she was on to side beside her, shamelessly grinning. His eyes stayed on hers only wavering to look her over.]

I am handsome, aren’t I?

Harley.

[ Leeny suddenly struck her as too juvenile, and Harleen was absolutely off the table. Harley was a good compromise, and a name just for him. She liked the idea of that.

She bit her lip and giggled as he kissed her hand. ]

You are. I especially like your smile.

[ Harley tossed her hair and batted her eyelashes at him. ]

What about me?

Harley, [He repeated it to give it a test run. It suited her from what he could tell. Just as much as those little giggles.]

Well, you're beautiful. [He grinned wider as he laid on the compliments, leaning in while his arm went over the back of the bench behind her, his legs crossing and getting comfortable.] Sorta shocking that anyone would just let you be on your own out here, looking like you do. I'd never do that.

[ She glowed under his praise. Thrived. She turned toward him on the bench, pressing her knee against his. ]

That's a big promise. How about you don't leave me on my own for tonight, for a start? Show me a good time, Jerome. Pretty please?

[Now this girl was asking him to show her a good time? Oh, he could most certainly do that. Jerome kept grinning as he spoke, his hand reaching out and grabbing hers.]

You're looking for a good time, gorgeous? I can wine and dine you to your heart's content- but- what do I get?

[ Harley twined their fingers together and leaned forward until her forehead pressed against his. ]

You get me, silly.

[This girl was moving at his speed and it made Jerome laugh aloud. She was perfect.]

Then you get me. [He grabbed her hand and without warning got up from the bench and ran for the carousel behind them. There wasn't much of a line, but he ran past everyone else and lept onto the ride without is stopping. Looking to the operator he twirled his finger as if expecting everyone to obey.] Crank it up!

[ She squeaked with surprise and gripped his hand tight when he made a run for it, laughing as she followed him. She hopped on a brightly painted unicorn whose horn was snapped off in some long ago tragedy.

Jerome's goons had drifted after him when he headed toward Harley, and together they bustled the ride operator out of the way. The controls were easy enough to understand and one obediently turned the speed to maximum.

It wasn't a breakneck speed, but the carousel spun fast enough to set passengers screaming. Except for Harley, of course. She threw her head back and laughed harder than she had in a long time. ]

[Jerome felt the wind in his hair as the ride began to spin and cause immediate chaos. With a wide grin he laughed at the sight, feeling the adrenaline rush through him, release a crazed laugh. Hearing his laugh echoed in the beautiful girl beside him he held onto her hand tightly, gazing at her and taking in her enjoyment.]

[They spun for another few minutes before Jerome raised a single hand to bring it to a stop. His goons obeyed without hesitation, leaving Jerome clapping and laughing at how sick the people around him had become.]

That was a rush! [He laughed, starting to strut off the ride with ease, but pausing to offer the lady his hand to help her dismount.] On to Cotton Candy, m'lady?

[ Harley combed through her wind-tousled hair with one hand and took Jerome's hand with the offer, quickly twining their fingers together. ]

Indeed, my good sir!

[ Her head was still spinning from the ride and she stumbled a little against him when her feet touched solid ground. Even after the dizziness passed, she made no move away from him. ]

Oh, I am no good sir. [Jerome's smile was wide when he chose to correct her. He took her hand, bringing it to look through his arm as he tugged her along. ] But you might say that I'm a...bad boy. [A comment that brought a new cackle from him.]

[Approaching the cotton candy stand he found two rather scared looking cashiers. Without flinching, he slammed his open hand onto the counter between them.] We demand cotton candy for the lady!
