FREAK LIKE ME meme

You know you're a freak and that, sooner or later, everyone you've known will leave you. And why wouldn't they? You're so different. An outsider. Maybe it's socially, because of your family or situation, your appearance, or, in a rare case, some ability that separate you from others, but it's all the same, even if you're oppressed for your differences or if you slide under the radar. You're in a hell of your own design - loneliness.

Until you meet another freak, someone else incredibly different...someone who also wants to stay with you.

The circumstances, good or bad, under which you met don't matter, because you're not alone anymore. In fact, this person makes you want to look past any self-loathing or low self-esteem you may have and be better. At least they do on some level. Why they care, you don't entirely know. One thing is for certain, however: you'll do anything to keep them safe and by your side. Your situation may just come in handy, for once.

Luna arrived at Xavier's school for a long planned visit since Kevin had somehow convinced her father a few months in the states post war could only help in her recovery from several factors (like Malfoy Manor). With her magic she was basically a mutant in American terms but to most she was simply the Irish girl Kevin had been in touch with via email for months, having met when she had been in the states on a trip with her dad for the Quibbler. "Kevin?" as her radish earrings seemed to bounce in her ears,"Dad arranged everything, I'm wrapping up 7th year as an exchange since Hogwwarts is rebuilding."

These two are a mess together.

She caught him once on a mission and was content to bother him the whole time, kept everything about herself a secret but taunted back where he teased her. It didn't take long for Junko, in all of her despair, to get a crush on someone who could keep up with her when she could see through every comeback any other smartass was good at pulling. Chaotic and wild, she seems like a singular agent working to make the world a more miserable place, and every now and then, he was free to catch her stringing up another one of her webs with.

Nothing.

She didn't show off her semblance or her weapons. She seemed to be this strange force of nature... on her own. And she had asked for his contract to tear it up, but it was laminated in paper Junko couldn't rip through. So she settled for despair and the idea that, probably, they'll be at odds with one another some day.

'If we fight, I'll definitely kill you, so make the right choice when the time comes!'

Right now she's leaning across a milkshake at a diner they held up, with the patrons ordered to stay in their seats when the first person to try to call for help was... taken care of. Junko's favorite song has been on loop on the jukebox and she dressed up in her favorite outfit for him. It's banal looking, but for the purses and jewelry and other valuables laid at the feet of their table. ]

It can't be helped, date night always ends this way!
