[ In some seedy dive bar down near the border, a few covert members of the Mutant Underground have been on a little celebration and reconnaissance mission. Dreamer and Thunderbird have long since retired for the night, but Lorna's still buzzing with restless energy. She doesn't have to see their crabby, Southwest-area liaison to know he's still in the bar too.

All the metal on him's like a comforting hum nearby.

She's fiddling with the grimy jukebox when the Purifiers walk in. A few lazy sparks pop up from the coin slot as quarters suddenly roll in the reverse direction, coating the knuckles of Lorna's right hand in metal. No one's looking at the lanky, Hot Topic refugee as she saunters almost seductively up to the lynch mob in their black shirts with white cross emblems.

She doesn't say anything, just sucker punches the lead dude as hard as she can in the gut. He drops and she's onto the next, a barstool with metal legs flying in to broadside him. If asked, she'll say she kicked it. (BUT lbr, she's not sticking around to answer questions.) ]
