What you're crafting - perhaps with a costar who's very special to you - is a more intimate, amateur flick with only two people on set. Be its a longer romantic interlude to watch later on a lonely night or a quick, hardcore kinky clip, one thing's for certain: this production's for your (and your partner's) eyes only.

[ natsume always has weird ideas. subaru's known that since they started this...thing. he's not really sure if he can call it dating. is it dating? subaru gets to kiss natsume, sometimes. he tells natsume he looks cute (watches him get embarrassed, which is the shiniest thing, his eyes sparkle like crazy), but he never gets to hold his hand, or hug him much in public, but--

this? this they're pretty good at.

this being a snap of a picture in subaru's room. his mom's asleep, and daikichi's curled up in his bed next to subaru's shiny shrine, nose on the marbles. his room's fairly well lit, twinkling fairy lights over his bed giving the picture he sends a washed glow: it's just subaru himself, grinning, though his shirt seems to be missing. his usually fluffy orange hair's a little flatter than usual, freshly showered and squeaky clean. ]

na~tsume! how's your night, huh?
everybody's asleep, and it's so quiet!

[ natsume doesn't particularly like labels, and so he never puts one on the... thing him and subaru have, whatever it is. whatever it is, it lets him savor kisses when he feels like having them, and it gives his heart an annoying marathon every time subaru compliments him this way or that.

it's annoying, but it's not an annoying he minds. something he's had to get used to.

but this is easy; this has some level of disconnect, and a lot of distance—it works for him, and he stretches out on his bed lazily as he studies the picture and the words with it. mostly the picture, traces subaru's lean muscle with his pinky; idol work is kind and basketball club even kinder, and he exhales softly at the thought.

there's no need for his usual quirk, given it relies on sound; visual is in need of a different marker. ...but it's nice not to have a bad habit that he has to monitor, lest it go out of control, too. ]

Good Night. What makes you think I'd be up, Baru-kun? Of course, you're right, but I could have just been asleep as easily as your family.

[ and what is he up for, exactly? ...is answered easily by the picture with it; natsume in just a long white shirt, the light of his bedside lamp warm across his crossed pale legs and a book set face down (spine up, reading interrupted) halfway on his lap. less risque than subaru's by far, but he's never been one to give his whole hand, has he.

...not that subaru's seems anything but a cute snap of a post-shower good night, and he thinks about how warm he has to be and decides he'd probably boil if they were cuddling. subaru is unfortunately warm even without the help of hot water. ]

[ hmm... it's a shame that natsume's not around. subaru misses him when he's not nearby, and he's in a particularly affectionate mood after his shower. it'd be perfect to strip off his pants too and climb into bed with him, cling on nice and tight and enjoy a little up close and personal skinship, but... he can't leave. his mom would worry too much, so this is going to have to do.

besides! he responds, and subaru chirps on his end, even if natsume can't hear him, reaching for his phone to open the picture. it figures he was awake (he thought he might be) and he ends up smiling at it, wiggling his toes where he's settled delightedly as he types out his response. ]

ugh, somehow having the words staring at him is worse than having them in his ear, and natsume reads the same line in his book three times before he replies. thumbing the corner of his page idly. ]

I am, and nothing you'd be interested in: an anarchist's cookbook, full of incredibly dangerous concoctions I plan on making this coming week.

[ .......it's just a normal cookbook, he's just going to be baking. and, as an afterthought: ]

You're going to catch a cold if you don't put on a shirt, but you look nice, too.

well, either way, he seems pretty interested. whether he's aware or not of the actual implications, who knows--akehoshi subaru can be a little bit of a mystery sometimes. sweets or explosions would both probably be fine with it.

the second text makes him smile, though, and he snaps another picture. he's still shirtless, but as if to appease natsume just a little, he's pulled a blanket up around his hips. is he. is subaru not actually wearing pants. ]

besides, i'm really warm right now! i just took a really hot shower.
and then i bundled up in the blankets right after, so it's even warmer ~

I take cold showers, anyway. It ensures good luck for yourself and your family. I just prefer them too, and my mommy always makes sure to give me a warm robe and clothing afterwards.

I suppose you would be a welcome accompaniment to all of that, seeing as you're impervious to the chill.
