It's still cold as all hell out in the middle of February, but thankfully the piles of blankets and the space heater of a man next to her manage to keep the frostbite at bay. It's worth the trouble, at least. To see the sky light up like this.

She's not much for astronomy, and the last famous meteor shower she saw brought with it a hell of a lot of trouble. But this.. watching a shower of stars streak across the sky from millions and millions of miles away... It's damn near breathtaking.

She's grinning as she lies on her back next to him, eyes darting across the sky.

"It's even clearer out here than Smallville," she murmurs.
