He's pulled back the curtain of one of the windows, but the snow is still coming down so thick that it's impossible to see through, almost dark when he peers outside. He rubs the crosses running up his left arm.

Cold doesn't affect Sunai monsters the way it does other people. They're made of fire and smoke under the human guise, so despite the outside temperature, Leo doesn't seem that perturbed.]

[It just wouldn't be a class 77 trip without something getting mixed up in the process. Even though Chiaki had done her best to ensure all of the arrangements had gone smoothly, she hadn't quite anticipated how much inter-class squabbling there would be or how much damage Nekomaru and Akane would cause to their first cabin. All of which had led to a shortage of beds in the initial booking and Chiaki volunteering to take a bed wherever they could find one for her just to solve the problem.

She's quite aware that this probably isn't an ideal situation for her now cabin-mate. But on the other hand, at least he's not having to deal with any of her more rambunctious classmates. At least Chiaki's happy enough to keep to herself and entertain herself.

Which is what she's doing now, sprawled on top of her bed with her nose buried firmly in her handheld gaming device, a steady stream of electronic bleeps and bloops the only sound to really come from her part of the room. For how intently she's been gaming, it's possible she hasn't noticed if her cabin-mate is in the room or not or even that it's currently impossible to leave.

Perhaps if she had, she'd at least have muted her game. As it is, Yuri can continue to enjoy (or not) the rhythmic sounds of the Ultimate Gamer hitting her stride.]

[ A hot spring.

A naturally occurring hot spring. In the dead of winter, with so few opportunities to get warm... well, it's a godsend, really. There's only so much that firewood and tents can do by themselves, and frankly Casca is sick and tired of being chilled to the bone all the time.

After helping to drag in deadfall for the fire and erecting tents, it should be absolutely no surprise at all that her next goal is to spend as much time as humanly possible soaking in the warmth and steam. While the rest of Guts' merry band of misfits goes about their business, Casca emerges from her tent with a small knife, a tiny lump of soap, a change of clothes draped over one arm, and a woefully threadbare towel draped over her shoulders.

She pauses for a moment, pivoting on her heel in the snow to stick her head back into the tent.
