Angeal wasn't supposed to get home until late Sunday evening. He knew that; they'd worked out his schedule to return together, crafted around the provided program for the event. A full fortnight away from each other, that's not something that either of them was used to, anymore. Of course, they had talked daily, every morning as Genesis got ready for his day, and sometimes in the afternoons, too.

But the meeting last night had concluded the whole conference, and most people had returned to their hotel rooms to rest, exhausted by the talks, and Angeal had tried. Twenty minutes later, he had known that sleep was unlikely to happen that night. He'd tossed his baggage in his bag, checked out early, and belted it out down the highway.

He got home in the early afternoon, showered, and didn't even attempt to sit down and just wait for Genesis. By the time the redhead came through the door, Angeal was putting the finishing touches on a paella, only very slightly burned.

Ayla wasn't sure which timeline she was in. All she knew was that she was in a world full of strong fighters. She and her team had battled their way through multiple foes, and while some proud warriors were lost along the way, the end result was that Ayla and Sonya together had come out at the very top.

They'd finally earned themselves a breather. A celebration!

[It's been a long time since he's been back to Rose Creek, mostly because he's been trying to keep himself alive, in hiding. There's only so much that Sam's protection can do, which means that he's had to stay protected. He's only back here because he's shaved his face completely, picked up some new clothes, and is trying to shake a tail. Maybe if he stays in a place for long enough, the hunter on his trail will vanish.

When he gets back to Rose Creek, though, he's not sure where to go. The preacher, maybe? Anthony and his father? He's there late, starved, and the weather has been colder than he likes. That's not saying much, seeing as he's delicate about the weather, but still, he's not in the best mood.

It's why when he sees Emma's home still has lights on, he makes a split-second decision and heads in that direction once he's tied up his horse. Knocking on the door, he wonders whether she'll send him on his way, but he might as well try, no?]
