the pregnancy reveal meme

Somebody's just gotten some big news. Life-changingly big news, and it's time to tell their partner. Or their friend. Or their dog, I don't know your life, I'm not here to judge.

directions
1. Leave a top-level for your character, including info or preferences if you have them.
2. Reply to others.
3. Don't be a dick.
4. Thread stuff.
5. The prompts below are not mandatory; they're there if you need some ideas or want to RNG it.

prompts
1. sharing the good news You've been trying for this—or at least you're not opposed.
2. breaking the bad news Maybe it's a bad time or place, you don't get along with the other person, or you just don't like kids. Whatever the reason, it's far from a joyful time for you.
3. "but i can't be pregnant!" You took precautions against this, but life, uh, found a way.
4. "no, I literally can't be pregnant." This is impossible, because you're a man/you're different species/your species reproduces by budding/whatever. It's happening anyway.
5. hidden You've been trying to keep your... condition concealed for whatever reason, but the truth has a way of getting out there anyway.
6. public announcement Kind of the opposite of the above. This news is too big to share only with the other parent—you feel like telling the world.
7. while you were gone You didn't get the chance to tell the other person before being separated for a while. Now they're coming back to a big surprise.
8. it's not yours Well, this is awkward.
9. charade Nobody's actually pregnant, but for some reason, it's important that you pretend to be. Think Katniss in Catching Fire.
10. someone to remember him by The father (or mother, if that's how it works in this world) is gone, but they left something behind.
11. wildcard. Mix prompts or make up your own.
