The premise of the meme is simple. Two characters, lovers, have been separated for a time. How long is up to you, as is the reason for the separation. Was it unwilling - an imprisonment, a required journey - or because of a choice one of the characters made? The reason may, of course, color the reunion, and somebody may be pretty miffed, with good reason. Still, the theme is the same: intimacy after being apart.
This meme is mostly geared towards being a smut meme, but nobody will judge you for just doing so heavy fluff.
All it would take is one foot on to the boundary of his property and he would be able to sense her. That's assuming that his powers and ties to the land hadn't deepened and expanded in the years they had been apart. Magic is not static, if you don't use it, you lose it. If you put work and effort into it your control and your power grows.
He taught her that.
He had taught her a lot of things, the first scar she had ever received was in duel with him. Under his guidance she had learned potions and spells, strategy and skill in combat. Leaving was the agonizing lesson she pushed through one evening while his back was turned and he was asleep. It's not these things she actively considers while standing at the side of the road where the obscured turn off to his land lies hidden in the green. It just the emotion of it all, roiling and twisting up inside of her, freezing her feet to the spot and squeezing her throat.
She can't even remember why she was so angry.
But she was always angry back then, there was a lot to be angry about. Still is now, to some degree, the passing of time (always slow for a wizard) eased it somewhat. The brutality of the battles since the first one on his training grounds has just honed it, refined it into an incredible weapon.
In the dark of this night she is no longer angry but she is not the only one in this place and so that keeps her still: till the cigarette burns low to her skin and she is forced to let it go. When it no longer smolders among the dirt she steps over the boundary line and on to his property.
[ There they are, as they have been for several weeks, Bucky and the mutant who saved him.
Logan isn't good at staying in the same place for too long and he's even worse at being delicate, but despite the fact the Winter Soldier killed him four times in four different countries before Logan finally beat him and ripped that metal arm off, here he is caring for him instead of calling Captain America like he probably should.
But Bucky said his name just now. Not "Logan", not as he introduced himself all those days ago. No, he'd said Jimmy.
And Logan stands there staring at the man chained to a shitty cot. ]
[Of course, Rean could've been overreacting when he was finally able to convince Crow to come back. There was only so much he could do, so much he could say, but the fact that Crow agreed, that he came home, meant so much more than Rean could say. Rean wanted to bury his face into Crow's chest despite the ridiculous get-up he had on, but all he could do here was—
(Despite everything, Crow came home. That was exhilarating after having failed more times than Rean could count on one hand before. Part of him was waiting for the other shoe to drop, for him to open his mouth and say something so stupid that Crow changes his mind and walks right out the door on him after Rean's already gone through the trouble of dragging Crow to Leeves in the first place.)
Small talk, Rean decided. He could focus on small talk and not on the itch under his skin to just reach out and latch on simply to make sure that Crow was really here. He hid the wonderment in his voice well as he asked a question that was niggling at the back of his mind since the moment he saw Azure Siegfried:]
So, what inspired that get-up? I didn't think you were into something so...
[There was a word for it and it was somewhere in his vocabulary, but for the hand gestures he makes now - closing his fingers on his palm, then unfolding them, as if grasping for straws - Rean couldn't quite find it. Whether it was because it was hot he was still astonished and disbelieving of the entire situation or something else entirely, well— it was fine to start. Get his mouth going, get Crow's going, and maybe Rean would realize it wasn't a dream.]
