Everything was valuable, everything was re-usable, and pilfering through what another might consider trash could easily be a ticket to riches and wonder if Junkers had anything to do with it. Make something out of nothing, make a dollar out of fifteen cents.

This didn't quite explain why Junkrat was on his way to sift through garbage heaps at two in the morning, but it was a good start. His title said it all; where else would you expect to find a junkrat if not among the junk? Being on the lookout for scraps of metal, wire-riggings and electronic devices which could be jury-rigged into future explosive projects was nothing new. Finding a person among the rubble... also wasn't terribly novel. An alive person, however, was a bit more rare. )

It's not as though he intended to be here. Jakku was the last place he expected to find himself, and why would would he? There was absolutely nothing left on this planet of worth, and yet here he was, having abandoned half of his heavy garments in the oppressive heat, down to only a thin shirt, his arm guards, and his old cowl, the thin fabric wrapped around his face to keep the sand out of his mouth and nose. Even having dropped most of his heavy leather he is sweltering, burdened with several loose parts from the Junkyard he's currently prowling. His command shuttle was about a hour walk away, having suffered a major malfunction of the engine and forced him to land here. Of course.

Kylo Ren places one wrong foot and the entire mountain he's on slides, an avalanche of junk that nearly takes his feet out from under him. With a loud curse he catches his balance, and then, as usual, loses his temper and slings his bag across the junkyard with a furious shout.

He hated this place.
