She might as well have invented the phrase 'multi-tasking,' and at any given time she's focused on at least one task while planning ahead to another. After all, she's rather devoted to the New Republic and their cause. Although their victory at the Battle of Endor had been great, there was still much to do. Soon, she would be meeting with the Queen of Naboo and asking for her support in the establishment of a New Republic and the restoration of a senate. Not to mention when she wasn't worrying about that, her thoughts often strayed to her brother, what his plans were for the future, worry and concern about the death of a father she wasn't sure she had yet forgiven, and wonder that maybe she should train in the ways of the Force - if only a little.

So it was truly saying something that Han had managed to quiet all that, if only for a moment or two of bliss. But blissful it had been, and now Leia stretched out languidly, catlike, beside him on her bed. ]

Will's breath collects in the small space between the pillow and Ambrose's shoulder. His awareness of that fact comes back in spots of warmth and pressure, of vague colors and dim sounds.

In the end, he only rolls up onto his side - instead of laid out half on his stomach - because of the heat. The specifics of which are a topic he's been strangely well-accomodated on - Ambrose is warm like a human after drinking blood, mimicking life with flushed skin and heated fingers. He asks, and he's so tired with the drag of endorphins and the true, bone-deep exhaustion of trusting someone with this for the first time in months that he doesn't feel self-conscious yet for his choice in pillow talk. "Your heartbeat. After the first time you drank from me, did you have my heartbeat?" And does Ambrose house someone else's, right now?
