He still couldn't believe it was real. Four days - four days ago, Sybil Crawley had stood up with him in front of - not really anybody except for the law, but for his part he didn't care about anyone being there other than her. (Not that he'd tell his mother that.) And if it bothered her very much, she didn't really show it. That would come with time - maybe a lot of time, but, God, they had it now.

He's still waking up wondering if it really happened, which he doesn't think anyone could blame him for. For all that, not much had changed. It held the same bizarre sense as when there's a sharp, sudden change when you're a child, that jarring feeling when your world is dramatically altered - by vows, by the look in her eyes, by how close he got to hold her, by how soft and warm her skin is - and no one else has noticed.

How they weren't found out, he does not comprehend. It seems too much luck, but somehow, they weren't, which - if he's honest - he doesn't know that he really likes. If it weren't for the fact that it helped her... It's hard to bear, sometimes, most of the time, being back, being distant from her again, waking up alone, spending his days still just like this, working on the cars and waiting. But then she comes in, happy, and all the rest of it really just fades away.

Legolas had been waiting impatiently for nearly an hour now. They had agreed upon the time and place, and when she did not arrive promptly he could not help but worry. What if she had changed her mind? What if she was not coming after all? His mind came up with a thousand scenarios, each worse than the one before. He was not sure what he would do if she had a change of heart. Now that he had declared his love for her there could be no turning back for him. She was the one, his only one. Nothing could change that.

He was relieved when he heard her steps approaching. He did not have to turn to look, for he could recognize the sound anywhere, and could sense that she was near. A smile played at the corners of his lips.

Alice Reynolds had expected to expected to marry Frank in the fall but instead she found that her time with the order had changed things. Or well he had changed things. They spent enough time in the safe house together that Alice had gotten to know Remus more than she had ever anticipated. They often ate at least one meal together a day and she had come to truly enjoy his quiet mannerisms and his vast intellect. They hadn't really been friends in school. He was a year under her and she had been in Ravenclaw. Their friendship built slow and tentative over the course of several months. And now when she looked at him she could feel something vast like the ocean swelling inside of her and threatening to break free. Telling him had been the most uncomfortable thing in the world, but nothing prepared her for the werewolf registration or how it was going to impact her.

"Will you leave?" She asked him, glancing around his room with fretful eyes. Alice couldn't stand the thought of being away from him anymore. Not now. She was way too invested.
