When a vampire is hungry and isn't quite so decent or hard up as to lower himself to only buying blood at the butcher's or trapping and draining small animals instead, their dietary supplement of preference is human blood. [Vampire OC! Her information isn't in her journal just yet, but she's about 500 years old. She was bitten and turned into a vampire in a small city in the south of France in 1499 and has lived just about everywhere and done just about everything since then.

Most of the time these days she lives in the Southwestern US. When she needs to eat she goes to Las Vegas and works as a sex worker for a few days, because that's one of the only contexts in which people don't get too upset when you tell them you're going to bite them in the neck and drink their blood. She doesn't always need to do that, though, because she's very outgoing for a vampire and some of her human friends are willing to donate blood to her.

She's lived under the name "Theda" since about 1918 but if you want to do a thread with her from before then, I can use one of her other identities too.]

There was something ironic about their dynamic. Leon worked to kill and eliminate biological weapons of war that would prey upon innocents and yet here he was, living with a vampire. It wasn't something they... really touched on. Leon passively accepted it, after all, the guy seemed entirely harmless. He'd seen people whose eyes radiated murder; the worst emotion he'd seen in Aamir was disappointment at his own digestive system.

Although since moving in together Leon had found himself privy to a certain list that kept track of all the non-human people in the states. More secrets that the government had been keeping under wraps. Although this? This he could understand. The idea of mundies finding out about Aamir's vampiric status and trying to deal with it made him grimace.
There wouldn't be any more losses, not on his watch.

So when he was flipping through their mail, tallying bills and discovered the notification that Aamir's blood supply would be delayed for four working days, he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. Aamir already felt awful enough about what he was, so Leon had to wonder if he'd be fine with asking for help or if he'd just try to smile and joke it off.
Shit this was going to be an awkward topic to broach.

It never frightened Barry, knowing that Caitlin was a vampire. Most of the supernatural creatures had been purged from his world, but he had always heard stories in the camps. Whispers of shifters, vampires, creatures hiding out from the Reich. So seeing her change, seeing the shift in her eyes and demeanor when she needed to feed never scared him.

What does scare him is when she pushes herself too far, forgets to feed.

Flash and Vibe are out saving the city, which means he can approach her in the quiet, rolling up his sleeve and offering her his arm. "You're hungry."
