Whether it's action, romance, comedy, or wtf - congratulations. You and your Delorean are now back in the age of neon colors and really, really big hair. You know, back when MTV was actually music videos and not the sad, sad state of affairs it's turned into. Tighten your piano tie and pop on your mood lipstick and get ready to relive one of the best decades of the century.

1 - "Teen Queen and the Mean Machine": In the styles of Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, and pretty much any movie with Molly Ringwald in it, you are back in high school. And you and your tagging partner are the stereotypical mismatched pair that somehow flouts convention and gets together like some wannabe Romeo and Juliet, with less poison. Maybe.

2 - "We would have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for those meddling kids": Pull up your shirt and do the Truffle Shuffle while you quest your way to a hidden pirate ship for gold. Or something. You and your partner(s) are trying to save fifteen orphanages while rescuing puppies and taking down the mob, all with your handy dandy go-go gadget belt. Or you could possibly be fighting off the Wolfman or Dracula ala Monster Squad. Either way, you and your compadres may only be kids, but dammit, you know it takes silver to kill a werewolf.

3 - "Remember when Kiefer was hot?": Get out the SPF 1000, because you and yours are being wooed to join 'the dark side'. Leather jackets, motorcycles, munching on hot babes while your grandpa bitches about his car and you give zero fucks about anything. Why? Because you just got an earring and now you're mega badass.

4 - "Crane kick THIS, bitch": You're a down on your luck kid who just moved here and no one gets you. No one but that creepy old dude who catches flies with chopsticks and makes you wash his car and paint his fence. You spend all your time over at his house, and no one really seems to notice or mind. But that's okay, because YOU WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP. WITH A BROKEN LEG. THIS ONE'S FOR YOU, MISTER MIYAGI. Well, you and that chick I wanna bow chicka bow wow.

5 - "NO ONE PUTS BABY IN THE CORNER!": Except, you know, her dad. Fame, Footloose, Dirty Dancing - it's time to get your groove on and show us your moves. And of course, you and your partner have to do this all in secret, because dancing is against your religion, or something. Why don't you tappa-tappa-tappa up to your 'rentals and show them how you feel about their RULES... through interpretive dance.

6 - "When singers don't know their place": Suddenly Seeking Susan, Who's That Girl; you've got one party who's a singer thinking she can act and wearing the most utterly outrageous things she can think of, and the interested party is a down-to-earth, suit-wearing, uptight type who's attracted to their exact polar opposite. And crazy, zany, whacky adventures involving people getting shot at and wild cougars abound. Enjoy.

7 - "Get that bra off your head": Welcome to Geekville, population: you. Weird Science time. You and your cohort are doing things you shouldn't, and through the magic of the 80's, you're able to bring things to life and have your brother turn into a pustulent pile of goo. Enjoy it while you can, buddy.

8 - "Let's do the time warp again": Whether it's a car built by a guy who looks like he's being constantly electrocuted by something up his butt, or some strange, hinky magic thing you picked up and activated (because you're in a movie), you're sucked back in time. Is that your mom? Your grandma? Wait... what's she doing to the milkman...? Aww, mom. Ignore that. Time to play pattycake with your partner while not messing up everything that makes you exist.

9 - "This is why you never say 'I wish' out loud": Some crazy guy with an armadillo in his skintighties just came and stole your baby sibling. Now you've got to navigate some messed up labyrinth to find them, bumping into things that can pull out their eyeballs and falling down holes filled with hands all copping a feel. Are you the maze traveler? One of the misfits inside? The bulge-bearing babynapper, perhaps?

10 - "That's not corn syrup": Bad dream? You better wake up. Hear something in the bushes. Don't go look. Especially not in your underwear. You have the unfortunate honor of being tossed into the 80's horror genre. Freddy, Michael Meyers, Jason, they're all out there in the background. Pick your favorite (or least favorite) and gtfo. Your tagmate? Maybe if you trip them, the bad guys will kill them first and give you time to get away.

11 - "Take your badge and SHOVE IT": What's an 80's movie meme without the obligatory buddy-cop scenario? Crazy cop/sane cop, good cop/bad cop, lone wolf cop who does things on his own with funky theme music in the back and awesome cars. Rules? Who needs rules. Not you. Blow up all the stuff you want. Who cares? It's all good as long as it's done in the name of finding and getting the bad guy - who you'll probably kill while amassing millions of dollars in damage to the city. Good job.

12 - "There is no Dana, there is only Zuul": Yay! You get to carry weapons of mass destruction on your back and little shoebox looking things that suck up ghosts. And you have an awesome car that whines like Roseanne and a fat Roseann-ghost that slimes everywhere. Lovely. Have fun with that. And remember to bring the graham crackers for the s'mores later.

13 - "WHY WON'T YOU DIE!?": Ah, right, because it's a machine. Cyborgs and robots and all forms of crazy AI things that are after you and your partner for some reason? Are you carrying the future leader to a resistance against them? Maybe you pissed off that guy who lives in his mom's basement one too many times. Either way, you've got something coming after you and it just won't die. It's like the Energizer bunny on steroids. Run, Forest. Fucking run.

14 - "Wildcard": Don't see what you feel like playing on here? Make it up and go your own way, compadre.

[Badd is here to be a slightly more conventional kind of consulting detective, sent to look into some Interpol matters relating to an international money laundering ring. As befitting his role as an American in another country, he's being extremely loud and belligerent. There's a pause as he deigns to allow the other man to speak, and then the yelling starts up again.]

I don't care if he's a damn spirit medium! I am here to deal with actual cops, if you idiots can actually find one in this city.

She finally found something that would be coming on in a few minutes that she wanted to watch so she turned the TV. It had been ages since she'd seen The Breakfast Club and Jack just had to watch it with her. She wasn't even sure if he'd seen it before or not.

[ To hell with the eighties. This is the mid-seventies, which is close enough; better, it's the mid-seventies in a very seedy part of London, in a too-crowded, too-loud pub. Rupert Giles is twenty-odd years old, and he has an earring and a tattoo a black leather jacket.

He's alone tonight, hanging around with a cigarette and a glass of something very alcoholic, watching the band. For all his cool surliness, the don't-give-a-fuck slouch, he's obviously into the music – his eye on the guitarist, attention shifting only so that he can scan the crowd every few minutes. Something interesting will have to turn up. Pretty girls or potential fights, it's really unclear which he's more eager for. ]

[Really, if this wasn't his boss's daughter he was supposed to be dealing with, Kayneth would have turned down this assignment immediately. He had attracted the interest of quite a few girls interested in partnering up with him in the past (undoubtedly charmed by his impressive lineage and his accomplishments), and he'd reacted to them with polite but somewhat cold indifference, the same way he'd reacted to numerous proposed fiancees in the past. Granted... he had to admit, an in with the Sophia-Ri family would be advantageous.

Not that he had much of a choice in at least considering the matter, anyway. He was obligated to actually meet with this girl-so, here he was in the station, waiting to meet his new partner (and probable fiancee). He'd arrived a few minutes early, which made him look punctual but had the unfortunate side effect of leaving him impossibly bored.]
