And they'll, again and again, find themselves wanting you, for support, for care, for healing, for feeling alive, for venting frustration and anger, for anything and everything at all.

You'll welcome them with open arms. Because home isn't a place - it's a person.

Reply: to others. Are your characters married? Lovers? Roommates who are more than friends?
Thread: with them. Domestic shit like meals that can't be taken for granted, angsty/fluffy reunions, cuddling, even reunion smut if that's your thing (just be mindful of people's preferences).

If you actually know about the weird, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?-esque rules behind Cool World, I'm more than open to playing by them; if you're canonblind, don't worry about it. ]

The last thing he remembered was being at CCPD with Barry. He'd brought him dinner, because he'd been working late and he was going to miss that whole Star Labs particle accelerator thing. He knew he'd been looking forward to it, so he'd brought him disco fries and burgers. Savitar could be nice when he wanted to be! When the storm started, he'd tried to help Barry close up the windows, and then...

Then nothing. Darkness. Occasional bursts of sound, but no real awareness. Until today. When he woke up with a slight jerk staring up at a blurred ceiling he didn't recognize covered with a light brighter than anything he'd ever seen. He lifted a hand to shield his eyes, only to panic at the sight of an IV line and port coming out of his hand. There was beeping near his head, but he couldn't quite see where it was coming from.

Where was he? What was happening?

Barry remembers Savitar bringing him dinner, he'd picked up his favorite food and had been planning on joining him for dinner since he'd had to work and wasn't able to go to STAR labs. He'd been waiting for months to see the particle accelerator turned on and he'd missed it, but then a storm had started, and then...something exploded at the labs. The last thing Barry remembered was a bright light and then pain.

Pain and shock as he woke up on a bed to the sounds of Lady Gaga and people he didn't know speaking. That was 3 months ago. Barry was in a coma for 9 months. His brother on the other hand...his brother is still in a coma. It was 12 months yesterday. A whole year...his brother has been in a coma for a whole year. And ever since he woke up...well when he wasn't at work, or exploring just how the particle accelerator, which had apparently given him super speed, worked, he was beside his brothers bed hoping and praying he would wake up.

Not to mention all those metas to hunt down.

Waking up and staying awake was...difficult. How can someone wake up this exhausted? He has no idea. The panic, somehow, helped. He stared at his hand, then tried pulling the tubes out, jostling the IV stand a little. He hasn't really noticed anyone else in the room yet.

Barry is shaken from his doze by the sound of movement and upon opening his eyes he saw Savitar awake and moving. "Hey, hey.." He whispers softly, gently reaching forward to still his hands. "Slowly, it's alright. I'm here. It's okay." Barry sooths trying to get his brother to focus on him.

After waking up with Cisco and Caitlin in his face and being both afraid and uncertain, he really didn't want his brother to have to experience that. He's glad that he's the one here right now. "Just relax."

"Barry?" There's panic in his voice, and he sounds well. Like he hasn't spoken in months. Like someone who had a harder time waking up from a coma than his younger brother. "What-" What happened, where am I, what's going on. All questions he wants to ask.

Relaxing? Is not on his agenda.

Barry gently takes his hands and rests them on the bed. "It's me Savitar. You're in STAR Labs. You've been in a coma for a year." He says. He can't lie. He can't sugar coat it. Savitar shows the same symptoms of super speed that he has, only more so. The lab people aren't sure if he will be faster than Barry or not just yet. But it is looking likely.

At first he thinks Barry has to be making that up, lying for some reason. He's seen files on coma victims, he knows what they look like after a year, the type of atrophy that comes with a year in a coma. He doesn't seem to have any of that. So either this is a lie, or Joe somehow sprung for some serious physical therapy. And he can't see that happening. Ever.

Maybe for Barry. "What."

"The particle accelerator exploded and we were caught in the wave. We got struck by lightning too. I woke up three months ago." Barry says gently reaching up to brush the long hair from his brothers face. "I've been sitting here by your side since then." He knows he needs to tell him everything but he'd really like to get him a little more calm first.

"Lightning..." He remembers that, and is so startled he tries sitting up again, stopped only by the headache he gets when he tries. He closes his eyes for a minute trying to get past it. "A year? A year?"

"A year and three days actually..." Barry says gently and helps his brother to slowly sit up, adjusting the bed so he could be more comfortable. "There's more, a lot more actually. But before we get into that, do you want something to drink? My throat was horribly dry when I woke up."
