TAKING ADVANTAGE

It isn't always about the sex. All right, yes, often it is. But not always.

In this case it's about power over another individual. Using a fatal flaw, a weakness, or a momentary advantage to get them to do whatever it is that you want. Maybe you're going to blackmail them for all they're worth. Maybe you want them to spill every little secret they possess. Maybe you just need a servant to do your bidding. Maybe you want to do something utterly humiliating to them as revenge. Maybe you think you own them and you want to make it clear. Maybe you're just trying to prove that you're better, more superior than they are. Or maybe it is about the sex, who knows.

Your reasons are your own. But someone is going to be taken advantage of.

The standard rules apply:
- Leave a comment with your character name/canon, and state your prefs. Your character could be the aggressor or the victim (or potentially both, or just carrying out orders they were given, etc) and please specify if you're after smut, power games, crack, etc.
- Tag out and respect boundaries.
- RP!

OPTIONS (Note: several of these could be used in combination, so feel free to mix and match, or just use your own!)

1. Manipulation: They know exactly what buttons to press and when.

2. Blackmail: You have a dirty little secret, and unless you do what you're told, everyone is going to know it.

3. Trickery: Somehow you've been deceived and lied to in order to get you into this situation. Getting out again is a little harder.

4. Intoxication: It could be that you had one too many at the bar, or perhaps someone slipped a little something into your drink when you weren't looking.

5. External Forces: Someone else told you that you had to do it, whatever it is. Aliens, an authority figure, Jigsaw, whatever, you have no choice.

6. Mind Control: Magic, psychic powers, or hypnotism were involved. Whether or not you're aware of that fact is up to you.

7. Social Pressures: You're somewhere too public to kick up a fuss, or everyone else is doing it and they don't see why you shouldn't.

8. Trapped: You're locked up, tied up, or just in too close of a crowd to get away from them.

9. Pity: You feel sorry for them, for whatever reason, and agree to do what they want to make them feel better.

10. Betrayed: They were a friend, a relative, someone you thought you could trust. It seems that you can't.

[ earlier on in the canon, say, season two, alaric starts to feel weird. a part of him feels like he's splitting at the seams. every time he dies, he feels more on edge, like every part of him is frayed a little more from the entire experience.

he doesn't mean to come to her. maybe it's a force of habit, coming to her when he needs something, or someone. going to damon or elena means he'll worry them. if he tells damon he feels like something is wrong with his ring, he's sure his neck will be snapped to prove there's nothing wrong with him at all. if he tells elena, she'll get this look in her eyes that reminds him of a scared animal, as if she believes he's going to slip between her fingers like almost everyone who walks into her life does.

isobel's really his last and only option. the only supernatural forces who know of his ring consist of two circles; the scooby gang who make mistakes and crack spines, and his ex-undead-wife. library books won't help him, nor will reading the gilbert journals.

he meets her at the big fancy place he assumes she doesn't actually own. it's safer than the grill, which seems to be the black hole that sucks everyone in and rarely spits them out. his ring feels heavy on his finger, but he keeps it there, anyway. not for insurance in case she does anything. the part of alaric that has remained untwisted from all her deceit still trusts isobel flemming, occasionally saltzman in his mind, and he doesn't think of removing the ring because if he removes it, it's like he's saying he doesn't trust her. she gave him this ring; she can save him from it.

with a rap of his knuckles on the door, alaric's rooted to the spot. he needs answers, and if she doesn't have them, he needs a permanent fix. ]

Note: Raven is a usually-stoic man with a quick intellect and unbreakable sense of professionalism. He's an agent of an unknown organization and devout practitioner of ninjutsu. Like most Tekken/fighting game characters, he's very strong. More info in his profile!

Victim: If Raven is a victim, unless your character is strong enough to beat him physically, it would be very difficult for him to be taken advantage of without the aid of drugging him or restraining him or holding some kind of information over his head pertaining to a vital mission. Of course I'm down for any/all of this happening, just don't expect an average Joe/Jane to be able to gain the upper-hand without the aid of something else, as previously stated.

I'm fine with this going down the route of cracky funtimes or serious CR or maybe even smut- but note that Raven would not normally be a willing participant in such 'distracting' things and would not appreciate sexual advances. In other words don't expect anything romantic to come of it because he isn't the type to let himself get attached (and if anything being taken advantage of would only serve to annoy/frustrate/piss him off.)

Aggressor: If you decide for Raven to be the aggressor, then the smut option is virtually out of the window since he would not initiate such a thing of his own will, but I'm down for almost anything else, whether it be cracky or serious or whatever. Raven is so dedicated to completing missions that, if ordered by his higher-ups, he would certainly preform his duty of interrogating/kidnapping/restraining or pressuring your characters in whatever scenario you'd think up. I'm not very picky!

So if you're interested in this tough guy, pick whatever you prefer and we can get the ball rolling! \o/

That much wasn't too much of a surprise, honestly; most cities big enough to deserve the name had at least one, and the larger ones more than that. The fact that she knew without a doubt that one was here and where its hunting grounds because she'd read it in the newspaper was more than a little surprising. And not in a good way, either.

When ordinary people noticed things like bloodless corpses and headlines mentioned "vampire killers" then that meant her personal business had to go on hold, and that was also not a good thing. But when needs must and duty called and so on and so forth.

Knowing about the existence of a vampire was one thing, but finding said vampire was another. And since she doesn't exactly know if the one has friends (please let it be a loner) Isabel is out and scouting the area around where the body had been found, playing the tourist and just wandering. Underneath that she's searching, attention only half on the street in front of her while she cautiously reaches out with her other senses. Violent death generally leaves signs, after all, and blood a trail back to the one who spills it.]
