SECRET dating;

The fact that you're in a relationship with this person isn't public knowledge. Actually, no one knows about it except for the people involved. Maybe you guys are just private like that; on the other hand, it may be a necessity to keep things a secret from others. Maybe you're both team mates, and others on the team would give you grief, or you're not suppose to be dating, or you're not the type to usually date and you're only testing the waters. Perhaps it's the combination of you two, possibly an odd couple, that would bring some controversy or some teasing. Or, you know, you could not want to deal with friends and relatives being busybodies. Your reasons are your own.

Are you content with stealing moments to be together as a couple? Do you want to make your relationship known and the fact that you can't drives you batty? Remember, there are lots of benefits to dating in secret. You can be yourselves completely, away from prying eyes, and get to know each other better as potential longterm romantic partners. In a way, it's ideal.

The war was over. Truly over for Draco. The Dark Lord wasn't just defeated, but he was back in the Manor. The Malfoys had survived trial, and while his father was on probation, he and his mother walked free. They had their lives with only a portion of their fortune seized by the courts to pay back for damages caused.

He had his life back, or so they said. He could do with it whatever he wanted. Live again. Love, marry, have children, work... He should feel happy. Lucky, even. Draco felt nothing, though. He felt numb and restless. Sleep either tormented Draco or was elusive. His dreams were haunted by screams and hands that reached out to pull him under into blackness...

He woke up gasping and covered in sweat. A shower did nothing. Walking the Manor made him feel worse. The memories of his childhood home were now tainted and dark. In the end there was only one thing that came to mind. One person.

Draco apparated as close as he was familiar with and then walked the rest of the way.

Harry. Thoughts of Harry brought back emotions. Harry... those were memories not tainted in darkness, but light. Hope. Draco had to only close his eyes and he could remember and feel again that last fleeting touch they had shared. Could still feel that ache that had come with knowing it was going to be the last time. The war was too much. After that moment they would be separated. The boyfriend no one else ever knew he had. The first and only love of Draco's life. The boy who had one time been his rival, his lover... and now stood the most famous man of their time.

But then he received that little slip of paper in Harry's writing with an address. The very address Draco was now at in the wee hours of the morning. He stood there at the door in slacks, a button up that was tucked in, but the sleeves rolled up. A vest on, but left unbuttoned. Blond hair was mused and did not lay perfectly. One hand was braced against the doorjamb, the other rose and knocked. Draco waited until it opened to show familiar green eyes.

I need you.

I miss you.

"I couldn't sleep."

Sometimes it was hard to picture the world being completely over. The Dark Lord no longer taking control of those around him, using them. Using him. Though there's days where he can't seem to make himself thing about that. Not the stolen glances that was had before the war or the hands that were held in secret.

There were days, like today, that he hated being famous. Hated being in everyone's spotlight. The boy who lived. The one who helped heal the world, as it were. Not that he saw it that way. If not for him then none of this would've happened. It was because of the war being over and the fact that he'd heard the good news that he'd sent the paper. Malfoy would know who it was from.

What Harry doesn't expect is the hour in which the blond shows up. So blurry eyes, since he hadn't donned on his glasses, stare at the other for a moment.

I missed you.

I needed you.

"Come on inside. I'll make us some tea, yeah?"
