The Body Heat Meme



Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!
Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

She ruffled her own completely white hair to get the melting show out of it. Then shrugged out of her blood-spattered and torn winter coat. She frowned, mourning its loss a moment. "Well, the good news is thanks to my timely arrival you have escaped the ones trying to eat you. Also, we have shelter. Bad news? This blizzard is magical and fed by strong Mages. No telling how long we will be stuck here." Thulile folded her arms and turned toward the boy fully with a bright smile. "Remind me if we survive this I have a Cheshire Cat to threaten to skin alive if he ever sends me somewhere cold again?" She then held out a tattoo covered hand. "You can call me Thulile."

[if it were the metaverse, akira could switch to a persona with cold immunity and be done with this. as luck would have it, the freak snowstorm catches them in the evening, and the closest shelter is leblanc after hours, with a caveat: of course the storm had to knock out the power, too.

by the time akira hauls them both inside, his fingers are so numb he'd dropped his keys three times trying to open the door. the heater might be dead, but at the very least, the cafe is still four walls and a roof, which saves them from the merciless wind outside. if he weren't freezing to death, akira would have something wittier to say about global warming.]

C'mon. It's not much—[he breaks off in a sneeze, teeth chattering, before he manages to get the rest of the sentence out]—but I have a blanket upstairs. Better than nothing?

[with the power dead and the air cold enough that he can still see his breath, akira curses quietly as he fumbles for his phone's flashlight, only for the low battery indicator to flash on the screen. he improvises instead, relying on muscle memory to maneuver around the furniture in the dark, and takes hold of akechi's wrist to guide him up the stairs.

when they'd said keep your friends close and your enemies closer, he hadn't expected anything like this, but then again, when life gives you lemons, might as well make lemonade. or frozen lemonade, if this storm won't let up.]
