[Jemma sighs wistfully. Space isn't really her favorite thing anymore, and really who could blame her, but she can still appreciate the stars. Still knows them inside-out. She's no Dr. Jane Foster (can't even imagine being, that's the level of admiration she has for the other woman) but she's got a fair bit of astronomical knowledge for an amateur.

Still, none of that is what set this in motion. What that is is the chance to stargaze with someone who's actually from amongst the stars, namely the Lady Sif. Sif is one of Jemma's favorite auxiliary SHIELD acquaintances, being honest, although they've not really had a lot of alone time. Sif is admirable, though, so tall and powerful and brave and -- okay, so Jemma may be a bit smitten (though really, with strong women it's more of a surprise if she's not smitten). She's being cool, though, as they lay on their backs and stare up at the sky. Mostly.]

There must be such different stories, on -- [No, Jemma, don't bring up the destroyed homeworld.] In your memories. You must remember them.

She isn't exactly running away. Leaving the keep doesn't mean she'll never go back. Of course she will. It's just too tight, too stuffy and she needs some real air. Even if it's the cold air of an Orkney night.

Cywyllog finds a nice patch of grass a little ways from the gates and stares up at the sky. She's missed doing this with her sisters and it makes her feel a little better that the stars seem to be the same here as at home.

[As the tides of war grow and ebb, there are times when stepping away from her realm is the only way for Frigga to quiet her mind. There is nowhere less like Asgard's golden halls and lofty mountains than this desert on Midgard, miles upon miles of changeable sand, burning hot to the touch during the day but chilly now, without even a haze between her and the stars. The cool air reminds her far more of home, and allows her to stay wrapped in robes that hide the armored gown she prefers when traveling.

She's timed her visit well, a few streaks of light have already passed overhead from the upcoming meteor shower, and as she turns to watch one fall below the horizon she notices she isn't alone. Never one to refuse company, especially company that has somehow appeared despite the vastness of the desert, she climbs a dune to the rock outcropping where the man leans on a crook, watching the sky.]

I am pleased to see I am not the only one admiring this display. It will only grow, I think.

[ Silke couldn't imagine her luck when she met Helena. Someone who is very much like her, and even reminds her of her own life prior to becoming what she is now. It stung to hear herself say that name, Helena. But with time and company, Silke manages to outgrow the feeling, beginning to associate the name with a friend instead. Androids like them, possessing weapons they shouldn't have and are always on the run, it helped bond them together.

On this night in the underbelly of this bright neon city, it's rare to see such a sight of the night sky. The light of the stars are drowned by the city's own, but the light of the full moon still manages to show it's pleasant radiance down to the Earth below. ]
