[Defiantly she huffs a breath purposefully right in his face.]

Why should I repay you? That foul tongue of yours is always adamant to cancel out any kindness, Archer. What is it that you would want from your Master, anyway?

[If her hands cannot claw at his face she allows them to rest limp in his. Instead she presses her mostly naked torso against Archer's huge muscles. Since she can't touch him one way, she'll do so in another.]

[His eyes narrow just a tad. Feeling her still press against him and the tone she uses makes him wonder if she’s once again being dishonest with herself or maybe being a little too dramatic even for her usual self.

One of his hands leave hers to slip upwards and rest in her cheek, still warm and inviting as he tilts his face towards hers some.]

If it isn’t too much trouble, maybe I could have one...

[Little kiss?]

... night of peace.

Fine. Have your night of peace.

[Immediately Rin takes herself and all the covers to the mattress laid out before the fire. It's one hop away to descend from the couch to the lumpy rectangular mass closer to the flame. She leaves him alone and in the cold as she huddles up to pout. Rin looks like a massive quilted mound with hair sticking out the top.

She has her back to him. In her anger she decides to freeze him out this time instead of letting her blood boil.]

[Well, now he's really pissed her off. It's fun getting a rise out of her, but he feels like she wins when she goes the icy route. Even though the temperature of the room has no effect on him whatsoever, the coolness of her attitude is enough to cause him to shiver a little.

Sometimes he goes a little too far. For whatever reason. Maybe it's because she can actually get a lot of emotion out of him, and that either frightens or annoys him. Being summoned as her servant is just a huge reminder of everything he's lost, especially in the quiet moments between them.

Giving her a few moments to pout, he finally sighs and slips off of the couch to crouch behind her. Reaching out, he hesitates for a brief moment before combing his fingers gently through her hair.]

Rin...

What? Not peaceful enough for you? You're free to take off if that's the case.

[Tohsaka huffs, but she doesn't protest him touching her or even swat away his hand. She allows him to get close. A part of her wants him too. And maybe that's why she's pulling away instead of blasting his ass through the roof of the cabin.]

Perhaps a little too peaceful.

[From her position, she can't see one of the corners of his mouth upturned at his own words.

But he supposes a gentle touch isn't enough to pull her back from using the cold shoulder. He decides on a genuine compliment.]

... That color suits you. [her undergarments--ah, but he should say it with a more personal touch] What I mean is, I like it.

[As he speaks, he's still reaching to stroke her hair.]

[I like it. Those words make her pulse flutter even if she's still angry with him. How does he know just how to rile her up, and then charm her again? It makes her heart hurt. Sometimes she feels like he's sincere, and other times she feels as if he's toying with her. The instability and uncertainty leaves her in an awkward position.]

So much for "knight class." You're very ill behaved, Archer.

[Not even a "thank you" because he shouldn't be commenting on her undergarments in the first place! Even if she's glad he likes it!]

[He knows he should pick one way and be that way with her at all times. Keeping her at a distance would be better for both of them, but those times when he's sincere are because he's weak to her. It's the times when the most pleasant memories flood his mind and he can't resist. It's when her scent, her touch, even her voice are too much for him.

Then he has to do something to push her away because... it's not good for so many reasons.]

Then it's a good thing I was summoned to an ill-behaved master.

[It's a tease, but his tone is full of fondness, not to mention his lips are close to her ear when he says it. When he speaks again, it's very quiet and even closer to her.]

Can I see them again?

[He's so close. Her body shivers as her lashes flutter. She can feel his breath on the shell of her ear as he speaks, and it's overwhelming. Her heart feels like its about to burst. She's so... angry with him, but she's also lonely and it's just so hard to keep fighting herself over this. Every time she lets herself get close to him she's partly angry and thankful he pushes her away, but when he comes back to her even after she has treated him so coldly — it's too much. It's exhausting, and she's getting tired of fighting it.

His words make her frown... until he asks his question.]

You will have to ask nicer than that to see something so precious.

[He sighs. Oh, she’s working so hard this time to keep him away. Normally he would silently thank her, but now he’s so deep into this action that he can’t help but want just a little more.

As she speaks, his hand gently cups her chin. He turns her head to one side as he tilts his face, their lips close after his action.]

Master... please.

[And he wonders if his little plea is enough for his ill-behaved master.]

[What greets him is wide blue eyes surprised by his boldness combined with his closeness. All she would need to do is lean in ever so slightly and their lips would touch. Rin's breath mingles with his. Her heart slams wildly against against her chest. So much so she can hear pulse pounding in her ears.

How... how does she even respond to that? Should she just let him because he asked? No, there has to be a way to make it seem like she's not too eager—]

First you have to let down my hair, Archer.

[Archer keeps his face close to hers as she speaks. His head tilts ever so slightly, and for a moment it looks like he'll just ignore her request and press his lips against hers immediately. But he pulls back and reaches up with both hands to comb through her hair.

Slowly and very gently, his fingers move strands of her hair until he finds the ties, the ribbons. He undoes them and sets them aside neatly. When her hair is down, he takes most of it in his hands, combing through it carefully and pulling it behind her shoulders before setting his hands there.]

Acceptable, Rin?

[He supposes the princess does deserve to be spoiled.]

I suppose it is.

[Tohsaka almost doesn't hear him because the sound of her own pulse is almost deafening to her. She hopes more than anything that he doesn't hear it as well. Slowly her body moves under the covers. Delicately she unwraps herself with a painstaking pace as if she's waiting for him to screw this up and spare them both...

Even if a secret part of her hopes he doesn't.]

[His weight shifts backwards as he leans on his heels. He gives her plenty of room to pull the blankets away and expose more of herself to him. Normally, he could probably tease her with an offhand remark or some sort of comment, but he is completely silent. Part of him sort of think that's probably even harsher on her than if he said something.

When the blankets are out of the way, he leans forward again. His eyes seem to shine a little thanks to the fire as he looks down at her, inspecting her almost. He then reaches for the blanket, pulling it away completely and leaving her on the mattress with nothing to cover herself.

Reaching out, he traces two fingers up her side and then along the strap of her bra on her shoulder.]

We won't need the blanket.

[It's gone. Her only form of comfort. The protection she'd shrink back into if threatened or upset. Almost instantly her arm reaches out for the covers as he takes them away. Now gone is the cool expression she tried using to hide hot emotions plaguing her. Instead Rin is left looking shocked and vulnerable. Especially when Archer touches her skin.

Despite her lips parting no words come from her mouth. As if she realizes how stupid she'd sound if she questioned him why they wouldn't need the blanket.]

Just— Just don't do anything weird, alright?

[What constitutes as weird? The world may never know.]

[He doesn't bother clarifying his remark. It's better to let her just imagine the reason why they don't need the blanket. Though he hasn't been teasing her in the past few minutes, that can probably count as him still messing with her on purpose.

A little smirk plays on his lips as she tells him not to do anything weird. He wants to ask what she means, but he lets the urge pass.

Carefully, he presses his hand against her shoulder, laying her down on the mattress. Then he shifts, hovering over her and looking down. Slowly, he presses his hand to her stomach and slowly moves it upwards, slides his fingers up the center of her chest, and cups her throat gently before holding the side of her face.]

Are you cold?

[His careful press won't be enough at first. Initially she'll fight it on instinct, and only when he insists will she force herself to cave and allow him to guide her back to the sad, lumpy, and pathetic excuse for a mattress. Rin watches him the whole time like a deer caught in headlights. If they were exchanging words she'd have to look away — afraid that her eyes might tell the truth should she tell a small lie. For now her eyes drink him in, but they mostly stay fixated on his face. As if his expression would tell her how this is going to go, or prepare her for what comes next.

Thankfully his question is easy to answer.]

Of course I am! You took my blanket, didn't you? Don't be so dense.

[Ah, yes. There's her comfort zone. A typical remark paired with her typical pout.]

[Her words make his head tilt a little, a small smile forming. There's his Tohsaka, defiant to the end. When she finishes, the hand on her cheek moves a little so that his thumb can brush across her lips suggestively.]

You're saying you want the blanket back and for me to go gather more firewood?

[He'll never get over the verbal foreplay.]

[Uncertain as to why, Rin feels the urge to take his thumb between her lips, and gently suck on it. She resists that urge, but it's there. She doesn't question it, she simply fights it.]

Do that and you'll be even dumber than I thought.

[Even so, his thumb doesn't move away. It does leave her lips only to settle just under them, gently caressing the spot between her mouth and chin.

After a few moments, he slowly lowers himself to his forearms over her, making their bodies just centimeters apart. Then, with another careful descent, he's pressed against her, almost completely covering her thanks to his size.]

Are you still cold?

[How could she ever feel cold when her heart is beating so fast it feels like her blood is about to burst from every vessel? Rin hadn't noticed she'd been holding her breath until she gasps when his body practically smothers hers. Archer may not have any warmth of his own, but he makes her pulse sky rocket creating a heat she has never experienced before. Tohsaka is so overwhelmed she almost forgets to reply.]

I — I suppose I could be warmer.

[Long bare legs close around him as if she's huddling away from the cold that threatens to creep in if he's not there to protect her from it.]

[Right before he's about to prod her for an answer, she responds. He tilts his head a little, eyes on her face the whole time as he feels her slender legs lift around wrap around him.]

Ah... you're out from under your 'blanket' if you do that...

[Though her legs are pressed to him differently, they're not underneath him. So, he digs his knees into the mattress to shift his balance to his lower body and moves his hands downwards, settling each of them on her thighs. Of course, with the new position, his hips press insistently against hers.

His nose brushes lightly down her cheek and his breathing settles on his neck with his lips ghosting almost imperceptibly against her skin as he talks.]

Acceptable... Rin?

[Archer will hear the hitch in her breath the moment his hips press against hers. That small body shudders beneath him, and she turns her face away. A fruitless effort to try and hide her face in her own hair. Embarrassing! She's willing to bet her expression is embarrassing! Especially when Archer's touch feels so electric — sparking that desire that boils in her belly. How can he do all of that with a straight face? She can hardly look him in the eye without feeling completely raw and exposed.

His breath on her skin. His lips grazing ever so lightly on the column of her neck. The muscles their twitch from being tickled as her dark lashes flutter.]

I have no complaints for the moment.

[Does... does her voice sound higher pitched than usual? She hopes not! What disaster it would be if it does. She tries not to say any more in fear that her speech will waver.]

[His grip on her thighs moves from closer to the line of her undergarment down towards her knees and then back up as if the intention is to warm her with friction, though it may be just for him to touch her. One hand lifts higher, shifting to one of her hips. He hunches his back some to lift his stomach away from hers only to replace it with his rough hand.

Then, almost too light to notice but enough to make her question it, he presses his lips to her neck and immediately pulls them back. When he realizes her face is turned, he lifts his other hand from her thigh and holds the side of her face, turning her up to look up at him.]

Should I warm your lips, or are they okay?

[He may be able to guide her face to him, but her eyes stay averted. Like she's afraid to meet his gaze should her true, shameful (in her eyes) feelings show clearly. At his question her lips part almost as if they instinctively want to ready themselves for him, but that would be insane, right? Why is she so weak to him? Why is he so familiar and strange at the same time? Her heart melts, and her will crumbles.]

They're... cold. Take great care with them, Archer, or I'll never forgive you.
