Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!
Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

Books? [Books are definitely not as good as eating ice cream on top of the empire state building with his favorite cousin-slash-aunt like they had been planning as per cousin weekend hangout tradition, but it beats sitting around doing nothing. Jon lifts an arm to rub at his red nose and leans a little into Kara's fingers because they feel nice in the same way it feels nice when Dad or Mom does that to his hair.]

What kind of books?

[ She's not too attached to media about aliens. Fantasy can be hit and miss — lady warriors and protagonists get a pass, most others don't. But Kara likes light books, comforting stories about family, and the occasional mystery. ]

I got you Agatha Christie.

[ Lowering her voice to a dramatic whisper, ]

Are you ready?

[With another sniffle, Jon leans over to get a better look at the book. Mom and Dad both like Agatha Christie and they've even read a couple of her books to him. Kara never has though, and he bets she's just as good a reader. With a slow nod, he squishes closer to her, eyes closing instinctively as she continues to run her fingers through his hair.]

Are you sure we can't read it on a rooftop? I won't fall, I promise.

[ Gently, ]

You're still resting.

[ though, ]

I'll open the window.

[ It's slightly ajar, the wind isn't that brisk that it'll swirl around inside. She runs hot, so she's not worried about him being cold or uncomfortable. And Kal won't mind if she stays the night here with them and heads back to National City tomorrow. ]

[Jon frowns and blinks his eyes open again, and then gives a reluctant nod. He knows she's right, even if he doesn't want to admit it.]

Next time we'll get to go out like usual though, right?

[ She opens the book to page one. ]

Now, [ dropping her voice again, theatrically, ] it was a dark and stormy night...
