You two are sharing a bed for whatever reason and have been for a while. Surely by now, you have a routine on how you get ready for bed. Does one of you want to stay up all night long while the other one just wants to sleep? Then, of course, there's the actual sleeping habits. Does trouble with human contact lead you to sleep with miles between you - and is that an issue - or do you snuggle? Could both of you whisper sweet words into each other's ears across the pillows? [it took time for minsu to work out his routine. his life had been filled with beds that weren't his own, futons and hotel rooms. the only thing that was the same night after night was the hunger that gnawed at him.

it's been four months since they moved in together, and now he's becoming more of a creature of habit. they go to bed late, whenever sage is tired out after a day of magic or putting up with minsu. he sneaks into the bathroom to leave notes on the fogged up mirror while the witch showers - sometimes he joins him.

and some nights, like tonight, the fox waits until sage is out of the shower completely. but he always appears when his boyfriend is brushing his teeth, and tonight is no exception. minsu shuffles up behind him, wearing the smallest pair of boxer briefs known to man. he's not there to seduce though, just loosely hugs sage around his middle, bending down until his chin rests on the other's shoulder.

he just likes to look at their faces next to each other in the mirror. so what if it's weird, it's his thing, okay.]

[he climbed the steps outside less than an hour ago. haneul's not a workaholic, he has trouble understanding people who are, it's just that his hours are more like second shift. most people have done certain things by this time of night - they've eaten dinner, they've at least touched base with their family and loved ones. a lot of them are even asleep by now.

in that hour, haneul's done his best to catch up. he takes a shower and changes into his pajamas before making a grilled cheese with fresh herbs and a blend of cheeses from three european countries. (it's still just a grilled cheese, but let him have his small pleasures.) by then the world has truly settled down, and haneul's ready to meet her in their usual spot to spend some time together: not the kitchen table, the bedroom. the world really feels like theirs, and he likes that.]

Should we put on another blanket tonight? [he asks that question at least every other night; every night if it's not the sweltering heat of summer. haneul tears the sandwich in half and offers her a triangle.] Try this. I added a little bit of avacado.

[ There are a few things that are a bit like a sirens song to Rook, the first is black coffee with his weight in sugar mixed into it (or vanilla syrup, but he isn't picky), the second is a giant bed where there is almost no room for people amidst the pillows and blankets and general comfiness. Sure, he doesn't need to sleep anymore, but eternity was boring and he actually really likes sleep so-- whatever.

Don't ask how he knew that Minsoo had a comfortable bed, or how he ended up curled up in the piles of comfort the first time, but it has become something of a routine for the vet to come home and find a certain bleary eyed demon curled up in his bed. Sometimes, he is already asleep, other times--]

Jack wasn't a typical shifter. He wasn't a Were at all in his opinion, not that he went around advertising any of that. Certainly, there was a tiger, but as he muttered under his breath, the tiger had him by the tail not the other way round. Semantics some might say, but to Moran, there was a difference. Others complained of feral thoughts, to him there was an entirely foreign entity in his head with different opinions, different tastes, different everything.

[ Okay, so Tony's not actually the best person to have to sleep next to, as many people who have had to go on stakeouts or undercover missions with him would happily attest to. It's not even just the fact that he steal the blankets or ends up somehow sleeping straight across the bed (after being used to a twin for so long, it's hard to not wanna stretch out when you get the chance, alright), but it's more the whole routine that's come from years of not really knowing how to sleep right.

NCIS had been the perfect excuse to stay up late, doing work, not coming home until he was wiped out, and then just falling asleep from pure exhaustion without having to have any human interaction. But now - now he's got someone to sleep next to on the regular and he's had to learn how to change those habits.

Which means he just brought his paperwork home with him. Again. It also means sitting up in bed working on it instead of turning off the light and going to sleep (or more importantly, probably, letting her sleep). Again.

And people wonder why he was single for so long. ]
