[With a deep breath, Alara stops muttering to herself and finishes with psyching herself up outside Lieutenant Lance's office. There's nothing to be nervous about, she keeps repeating mentally, it's only her first assignment after graduating from Starfleet Academy, the first of her species to do so. Totally not a whole hell of a lot riding on her shoulders.

Standing outside her new CO's office looking dumb probably won't give anyone passing by a good impression, too, so it's time to get this done. One more check over her brand new ensign's uniform to make sure it's in shape, and she reaches to press the doorbell alert thing. What's the technical term for those things?]

[ he's the despot whose planet your team probably got wrapped into somehow and now you're in an arena fighting for your lives. or maybe he agreed to play another kind of game to let you out of whatever sticky situation. I'm for playing him one on one or being the antagonist among a small away team - whatever! ]

[ he's a member of the royal family of the self-declared autonomous republic of zeon, an earth colony that's started a war for independence. he also is captain of its earth attack force. in his canon, quite a bit of land on earth is under zeon occupation, so i can see starfleet being concerned with that.
