[Throughout the hardships he had suffered, and there had been quite a few despite his young age, Jio had always been able to pull comfort from one thing, even before he knew what it was. The dragon on his body had been like a companion to him and once he got told that it represented his soulmate the dragon just became that much more important.

Not that he thought he would be able to find whoever the dragon was meant to be. He wasn't the most social person after all, preferring to be by himself for reasons he told no one. Well part of it simply were that he had difficulties with connecting with people. A result from being cut off from society his early years.

Well if he would find his other half then that would be great and school was as good of a place as any to find the one supposed to be his second half. And Jio had to admit that his little pal had been more active and eager ever since the start of the school year. Quite interesting. He had been told that it was a sign that his soulmate had to be somewhere close and since it started to move around more ever since the start of the year, Jio would assume that it might be one in the first year, he himself being in his third. Still that did not mean he went around interrogating the younger students. They would meet when they would meet. Fate could not be pushed after all.]

[ Kirishima was excited. Ever since he arrived at UA his fox tattoo had started to move. The first time it happened it was during lunch and Kirishima practically dropped his food as his head snapped up searching for his mythical soulmate. He couldn't believe it it had finally happened. His soulmate! They were here! In UA! He was suddenly super glad he had done away with his old weak pathetic self and worked hard to get into his school of his dreams, not only did he get to study at the best hero school in the world but on top of that he'd found his soulmate here!

... Well technically he hadn't found them yet, but he'd been getting friendly with the first years thinking he'd run into them sooner or later. Though he was still a student at a top hero school and most of his time was spent on hero studies or in the gym working on enhancing the versatility of his quirk. ]

[Was it funny that Jio had no intention of becoming a hero once he graduated and yet he had decided to go to UA? Well it was the best school, meaning that he would have the best tools to learn how to fully use his quirk. His classmates constantly told him how cool it were, but he could not agree with them. Not that he said why that was. Private reasons. Certain things you just did not share with everyone.

Unlike the changing rooms. Those you did share. And Jio went there with the intention of getting some extra training in before he needed to head home. His dragon had been moving around the whole day and now he could even feel how it ran from one arm to the other, the feeling slightly ticklish. Well since the feeling wasn't bothering him, Jio simply stepped into the changing room, not thinking about who else might be there and started to remove his uniform.]

[ Kirishima was in the changing room when the wolf started going crazy enough to have him lift up his shirt and start talking to his stomach, looking a little unhinged. ]

Oh man. What's up little guy?

Don't tell me you're feeling someone nearby?!

[The dragon had always been full of energy ever since it started to move around regularly, but this was a bit crazy. Jio stopped halfway with unbuttoning his shirt and peered down on it. It was still moving back and forth, but it did keep its gaze firm in one direction.]

Fine, I go have a look around.

[Jio rounded a corner with the perfect timing to see one of the first year students talk to his own stomach. If it wasn't for the fact that he knew those marks could move around all over he would see it as odd. Now he just saw it as another having the same problem as him.

Wait. Both of them having familiars acting up at the same time? It could only mean... Jio had no idea how to proceed with this. The way his dragon moved around indicated that he certainly should walk up to the other. His feet started to move and his mind reeled. What was he even to say? He had never trained for this moment!]

Okay, okay. We'll go where you want, but first you have to let me put on some shoes. I can't go meeting my soulmate barefoot.

[ Speaking of meeting his soulmate, Kirishima stares down at his unbuttoned shirt noting the wrinkles it accumulated from being shoved into a locker and quickly starts pulling at the edges hoping they'd smooth out but no luck. ]

Hey! Does anyone have an iron around here?!

[ He looks around, hoping to find someone that could help him out when he spots the guy at the end of the lockers. ]

Yo! You gotta help me out man. I'm going to be meeting my soulmate soon and I have to look presentable. You have an iron I can borrow? You'd be doing me a huge favor!

[All tension within him faded in an instant. This dude was looking for an iron. Who in their right mind would bring an iron to school? Jio could not help the laugh bubbling up inside of him. If his classmates would be here they would all look rather confused as he seldom burst out laughing like this.]

Sorry, but it is too late for that. You did manage to make me feel better however.

[Jio dried away a tear that had fallen from laughing so hard. He felt sort of bad for laughing like that, but hey, at least he was a lot more relaxed now.]

The name is Jio Freed. This little guy prompted me to head over here.

[He pulled the shirt open enough to show off the dragon that somehow seemed very satisfied with itself. Well it had done what it was supposed to do after all.]

[ Krishima frowns at the sudden burst of laughter. ]

[ His frown deepens, but only for a moment as realization suddenly dawns when he see's the tattoo moving across his skin. ]

[ His eyes widen and he stares at him in shock, red eyes moving from the dragon to his face, and back to the dragon. ]

No way!

You--You're my soulmate?!

[Jio let the other go through the whole process with processing their situation in peace. It was a bit mind blowing meeting your soulmate for the first time and the changing room wasn't exactly ideal. Far from the romantic meetings that books and movies portrayed. This was real life however and nothing ever could live up to the stories from some sweet romance novel.]

Looks like it. [Jio gave a smile shrug.] Not too disappointing I hope.

What! No! I mean, I expected you to be a girl or something but man.

[ He grins happily. ]

I've found my soulmate!

[ How could he be disappointed. ]

A girl? Nope, I'm a man. It would be a bit freaky if a girl was wandering around in the men's changing room, don't ya think?

[Or vise versa. The marks should not act up so much unless a soulmate were close by. At least that was what Jio had been told, if that was correct he did not know.]

[ Well, yeah. He was right on that count but he figured his soulmate was nearby like in the same area but not nearby like in the same room! How was she supposed to judge distance by how active his--]

[ He opens up his shirt to show off the wolf stalking across his stomach. And for a moment, he looks kind of moved. ]

I had the manliest soulmate mark growing up.

[ A fact that seems to be very important to him. ]

[For a second Jio had in mind to touch the wolf, but he thought better of it. They had just meet after all. It would be a bit too soon to just go around causally touching one another.]

Heh, should not that have been an indicator of that I'm a dude? But I do have to say that it is fitting.

[A bit of a fond smile spread on his lips. Yeah, a wolf suited him perfectly, no doubt about it. At times he had been thinking about what kind of mark he were represented by and now seeing it it all seemed so obvious.]

[Well it was true, whatever kind of believes they used to have regarding their soulmates did not matter any longer. Now they had found one another. Now they did not have to imagine how their soulmates would be like.]

Jio Freed, or well Freed Jio. I always forgets that the order of the names are reversed here.

[He let out a small chuckle and rubbed the back of his head. Four years should be enough for him to learn, but nope.]

Well, whatever. You can just call me Jio.

[ His brows crease at that. ]

Wait. Are you saying you're not from around here?

I'm originally from America, or Canada. I'm not quite sure actually. But I have lived here for the past four years.

[There were many things about himself he kept secret, but he guessed that Kirishima would find them out sooner or later with them being soulmates.]

Oh wow... You're all the way from across the ocean.

[ Suddenly, Kirishima wonders if he'd ever have met him if he hadn't come to UA. ]

Did you come here for school or something?

[ And if he did, would he go back once he graduated? ]

Yeah. UA is the best and I wanted to go here. Also I needed some change in scenery. Mom as well.

[So he would not move after graduation. Too many bad memories for him to want to go back.]
