Nothing's ever simple. That was one of the many pearls of wisdom that King Regis had tried to drum into his twin heirs since they'd been little children. No matter how wealthy or powerful their family and kingdom might be, their lives held their own kinds of difficulties and dangers. Steering the Regalia down the road in the middle of the night, Noctis couldn't help but think his father didn't know the half of it.

Just a few days ago, despite the looming threats from outside, the kingdom of Lucis seemed safe and secure. The royal twins, Noctis and Rinoa, were driving across country on a political visit, accompanied by their usual entourage of friends. And then, the unthinkable had happened. Now, while Ignis, Gladiolus, and Prompto were speeding back to the capital city to get answers, the Prince and Princess were looking for a place to hide.

Settling quietly into a hotel well off the beaten path under assumed names and treated to the honeymoon suite by an owner who wouldn't take no for an answer about it, Noctis turned to his sister with a tired smile. "Not exactly how we wanted to get some privacy during the trip..."

There had been several pieces of wisdom passed through them from King Regis, most she had always supposed was aimed more at her brother than her, after all, despite titles and other things the one that was going to end as King was Noctis and not her, but that didn't mean she didn't appreciate every word that had come from her father or that she minded the arragement (queen she wanted not to be) and both had been painfully aware of who they were and positions, as well as the state of things.

Quite honestly, Rinoa hadn't felt like going into this road trip or what it was meant to be, whether it was a sixth sense or just her being a bit nervous but she hadn't wanted to. In a way, Noctis has kind of somehow talked her into it and she hadn't been able to refuse him after that. Their over closeness and willingness to do whatever made the other happy was something that had earned more than one teasing comment (if only people knew). How were they supposed to know things were going to crash and burn so devastatingly while they were away? Now, here they were, probably fugitives now, without any clear answers asides the obvious and worried sick about their father.

She had been uncharacteristically quiet since everything had happened, while she was aware of the situation of the rest going to find out exactly what happened and having to find a place to hide with her brother, she was processing still and doing it so quietly was better than losing her composure as that wouldn't help now. She hadn't even noticed they were apparently given that suite at the hotel and just moved to sit on the bed, looking down at her hands before finally looking up at her twin..ah yes privacy, they hadn't had a lot of that, had they?

Taking a deep breath, she finally decided to break her self-imposed silence "...What are we going to do now?"

He had always been the reserved one, thoughtful almost to the point of brooding, keeping his emotions especially close to the vest, while Rinoa had been the light to balance him, sweet and sincere and much more personable than he ever was. Which made her quiet all the more telling once they'd been separated from the others and set off to find a place to lay low.

Noctis glanced at his sister, giving her a wan smile, and hoping to find some words that might give her a little peace of mind even if he had little enough of his own.

"We wait for Ignis to contact us, let us know where things really stand, and if there's anything we can do. Until then, we need to just keep our heads down and attract as little attention as possible. Maybe even not leave the room."

A mad thought crossed Noctis' mind and he chuckled.

"Am I a terrible person for not being entirely upset that we've managed to find ourselves alone and anonymous in a hotel room together?"

They were polar opposites but at the same time they weren't, maybe that was the reason they had gotten so close, way too close that was proper but that wasn't the issue here. There were more serious problems going on and a small part of her felt like screaming, but she knew that would be useless and there was no point wasting energy on that.

Rinoa bit her lower lip, not wholly sure if she liked that suggestion but knowing there was no other option. It was the main reasons the others had gone, though she also worried about them, their connection with the royal twins wasn't exactly a secret.

"It's the best plan that we have, not entirely happy about it though."

She hadn't exactly been good at remaining idle and she always needed to be doing something to keep her occupied. And right now her nerves were just a bit frayed.

"...Well, we did want to have alone time, didn't we? It could have been in better circumstances, but...mission accomplished I guess."

"I don't like it much, either," Noctis replied, dropping down onto the bed beside his sister, "but we both know it makes the most sense for now. The stakes are too high for us to risk running into a fight not knowing what we're facing."

Taking a deep breath, Noctis tried to give Rinoa a reassuring smile. What he did accomplish, though, was to grasp his sister's hand and give it a squeeze. "I don't want to say that things happen for a reason, but... maybe it's not such a bad idea to take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves? Especially now?"

He reached out with his free hand and stroked Rinoa's cheek in a tender way that wasn't remotely brotherly.

(ooc: Up for identical twins that are his half-sisters? Perhaps somewhere towards the mid point of canon Noctis is tipped off about their existence and in the absence of him or his Father they were slated to be found and killed mostly as a show of dominance.

They insist on helping and the bold one of the two insists they both room with Noctis.)

Noctis isn't sure that he can take much more upheaval in his life without going completely insane. His father dead, his kingdom conquered, running for his life-- all that isn't enough, or so fate seems to have decided, because in the mix now are a pair of twin sisters he had no idea even existed until a few days ago. The word had come over the Regalia's radio that surviving members of Lucis' royal family had been discovered and were set to be executed. The fight to free them hadn't been easy, but fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your point of view), the Crown Prince and his friends have been getting a lot of practice in lately.

And now they were safe, at least for the time being, the whole party holed up in a motel in the middle of nowhere that still somehow managed to only have one room available. With everything that happened, the suggestion that Noctis stick around to comfort and protect the girls made perfect sense at the time, leaving the guys to camp out off the road, but near enough if trouble comes up.

Sitting slumped in the room's one easy chair, Noctis waits while his new sisters (and boy, is he still getting used to that idea, and maybe if they weren't so pretty it might be easier) freshen up.

Elise and Elsa had always been aware that they were bastards. However their life wasn't really that bad, certainly not enough to hold any true ill will for the crown. They had lived with their mother until her passing in a small town and from then on relied on each other.

They were a bright pair though other than that they couldn't be more different from each other. Elise was something of a coward, but her hold on magic especially given her lack of education on it was exemplary. Especially healing magic.

Elsa on the other hand was haughty and dominant capable of fighting with the best of them using throwing knives and brute strength

Somehow they were found out by the wrong people after the fall of the Kingdom. Fighting would have been suicide for the both of them and they hadn't expected a rescue. Then out of the blue came their half-brother they had never met came of his own accord to rescue the pair of them.

To say they were grateful was an understatement even if Elsa didn't show it as well. Despite any protests from the guys they insisted on traveling with them to put an end to this.

After being held captive for so long a bath was definitely in order so when they got the chance in the motel room they had gotten cleaned up together. Really even from this short interaction it was clear the two probably did everything together. Elsa taking the lead and Elise following.

Eventually the door to the bathroom opened and Elsa came walking out. Noctis would be able to see she was wearing nothing but a towel as she strode out confidently. However Elise had to be dragged out by the hand by Elsa it looked like Elise's towel had been hastily put on as Elsa insisted on bringing her out. "E-Elsa! Shouldn't we get dressed first?" Elise said with a clear blush on her face.

Elsa scoffed "Oh please! We're not putting on those dirty rags unless we gotta. Besides our bro here understands, right Noctis?"

Without an ounce of hesitation Elsa let go of her sister's hand and came over to sit on one of the arms of the chair Noctis was sitting on. Now that she was sitting her towel became a bit looser the top sliding down to show some of her cleavage

No amount of explanations could really ease all of the guilt from Noctis' mind when it came to the twins. Even if he'd never once had any inkling they were out there, King Regis wasn't around to answer for the fact that they hadn't been raised along with him at the capitol. But then again, if Elise and Elsa had been with their father, there was no guarantee that they wouldn't have shared his fate right away instead of having the chance to be rescued.

He'd been brooding on those thoughts when he heard the bathroom door open. It had seemed a little unusual that the girls had gone in together, but he'd always heard that twins could be very close, and since they were both girls, Noctis guessed there wasn't anything awkward about being undressed in front of each other.

In front of him, though, maybe a little, he thought as they both emerged, wearing nothing but bath towels that seemed entirely too small to cover much, if any, of their legs, and also contain their breasts. Noctis took a deep breath and tried to remember that they were siblings. Half-siblings. Something Elsa didn't make any easier by sitting on the arm of his chair in a way that spilled a bit more of her over the top.

"Guess in all the rush to find someplace to stay, we didn't think to get you two a change of clothes... sorry about that." It was too late in the evening to find a shop open, so apparently that would have to wait until morning. "So yeah, totally understood. I guess just let me know when you need me to close my eyes or turn around or whatever, and I'll do it?"

If they were at all jealous of Noctis neither showed it. They both recognized him and were just appreciative he was there to bust them out.

At Noctis's words Elise smiled "T-thank you Noctis I appreciate that."

Elsa spoke right after "Yeah you can just get us something simple tomorrow. Those guards we busted out should of had enough cash on them for some clothes."

The bold sister grinned "But you shouldn't be so modest we'll be fine. You're our brother so there's nothing wrong with seeing something. Sure we didn't grow up together, but I will treat you just like I do Elise."

With that Elsa slipped into Noctis' lap. She laid her head on one arm of the chair and let her legs dangle over the other side. Given her rash movements it was a miracle her towel was hanging on.

"E-Elsa are you sure that's okay?" Elise piped out showing a clear blush and worry on Noctis's behalf.

"Yeah like I said I'm gonna treat him like I treat you. Well he's got more of a spine, but that just makes it more fun."

Noctis nodded at Elise, giving her a warm, reassuring expression. He'd picked up quickly on the differences between the girls' personalities, and was hoping he was treating them both the way they needed, given those differences. Elise, he'd figured, was quieter and shier, and it would be up to him to give her more comfort and support, to help her trust that he'd protect them now that they were together.

Elsa, on the other hand, he'd been approaching as more of a peer in a way, finding her much more self-confident and forward, and figuring that she'd see too much concern from him as coddling. But when Elsa dropped herself into his lap, dangerously testing her towel's ability to contain her shapely figure, Noctis found himself at a loss.

"Um... what do you mean treat me like you do Elise?" he asked, tilting his head quizzically. From Elise's flush and expression, there was a lot more to the statement than Elsa accepting him as their brother. "How do you treat her? Well, I hope?"

That line of questioning earned another scoff from Elsa "Of course I treat my sister well."

She reached up and stroked his face affectionately "What I mean is Elise and I don't act shy around each other and we share everything. We trust each other that much because we're family and have been together forever.

So I'm going to show you all that trust and love too. We might not have met before, but you came when you heard about us and that's more than a lot of people would do. You took a chance on us because you knew we were in trouble."

Elsa had a bit of a mischief in her smile, but her words were legitimate. "Isn't that right Elise? We should show Noctis as much love as we show each other." With those words as his only warning he'd find Elsa sitting up on his lap and pressing a kiss to his other cheek and soon Elise pressed a kiss to his other side.

Nocting could feel his face growing warm, especially where Elsa had touched his cheek, and could have sworn that the girls had gotten even closer to him somehow. As Elsa spoke, he thought he heard something underneath them-- an implication, or a suggestion that Noctis wasn't sure he was entirely understanding.

Or maybe more likely he couldn't believe what his newly-discovered sisters might be implying. And even more astonishing was how little Noctis found himself wanting to refuse or step away.

He listened to Elsa with rapt attention. "I couldn't even think of letting you two face danger like that," Noctis replied quietly. A moment later, the twins were kissing his cheeks from either side and Noctis found himself sighing, he liked it so much. Without thinking, he reached out, his hands curling around both Elsa and Elise.

That sigh got a smirk from Elsa. So he wasn't going to make it as difficult as she thought. "See Elise? I told you our brother would take care of us. So we gotta take care of him too. Protecting him and showing our love. Why don't you show him your love?"

Elise's face went scarlet but she gave a little nod. She didn't say anything, but she circled around in front of Noctis and hesitantly leaned in to place a gentle kiss on his lips.

Elsa had no such hesitance, nipping at Noctis's ear before whispering into it "Show her your love too. You want to, right?"

From there Elsa started to place firm little kisses on Noctis's neck as if to spur him on to take control of the kiss seeing as Elise was such a push-over it wouldn't be difficult.

The more Elsa repeated the phrase, the more Noctis found himself almost mesmerized by the idea it implied, so when Elise, despite looking hesitant about it, moved around and kissed him softly, the Prince was too far gone to want anything but to find out more.

"Yes," Noctis said softly. "Yes, I do."

With Elsa's mouth moving to his neck, Noctis leaned forward, parting his lips to really kiss Elise, hunger and heat behind it as his mouth slotted against his sister's. A few moments later and he was tugging her closer, wanting to feel her warmth against him.

Seeing how into it Noctis got immediately Elsa laughed "Good." She was honestly worried they'd have to do a bit more convincing, but she had been sure Noctis would come around eventually. It was a pleasant surprise that she didn't have to put in more work.

Elise gasped as she was kissed so heatedly and pulled close, she didn't mind though and even parted her lips for Noctis.

Elsa sounded amused as she spoke "Well she won't be needing this anymore." With a quick motion she reached out and pulled off Elise's already loose towel completely revealing her body.

The more demure sister would yelp a little into the kiss the jolt of surprise sending her pressing even more against Noctis. It was a tight fit with Elsa already on his lap but neither sister seemed to mind.

Elsa ran her tongue up her brother's neck before speaking into his ear again "Go on, touch her. I know she wants it."

If the girls pressed him for an explanation, Noctis wouldn't have had one for why he wasn't protesting, why he wasn't pushing them away with kind but firm words that made it clear their brother cared about them, but wasn't going to cross that line. No, there was no good reason other than the fact that since they'd all lost so much, maybe it wasn't such a terrible thing to find something new.

He was perfectly content kissing Elise and holding her, but when he felt Elsa pulling off and tossing away Elise's towel, Noctis didn't have the strength to keep from tilting his head back to get a look. His half-sister was already gorgeous in his eyes, but naked, Elise was a vision.

Noctis only had a moment to appreciate that view, though, before Elise was pressing close to him while Elsa whispered encouragement in his ear. Happily willing to do as suggested, his hands began to roam over Elise's body, loving the soft, smooth skin he found, especially when he cupped and stroked Elise's breasts.

He did tear his eyes away to glance at Elsa. "What about you?"
