[ Tents are not supposed to be cozy. Tents are supposed to be practical, with a bedroll and a little bit of space to get changed - which is often a practical problem when you're as big as the Iron Bull is. They're not supposed to be decorated with lush blankets with small lanterns making the whole place look eerily magical - and he doesn't like that, either - but he's making an attempt. He'd talked to the Inquisitor about romance and being sweet and while he was sure an evening of ropes and gentle pushing of limits might be just as romantic he supposes he can go with the whole tent thing.

He's working on it. He finds that he wants to work on it, and that's half the battle. He cannot remember the last time he felt the urge to care for someone beyond taking them to bed and giving them what they wanted - he's never played around with the idea of something after that, of a commitment, of another thing in his heart. His dedication to the Qun had been so sound that sex had been a means to an end, popping the cork on a pent up bottle, letting all the tension out.

Now it's something more, and he likes it.

The nerves kick in just before the sun sets, right when Dorian should be making his way out towards the little area Bull had chosen. It's going to be warm enough and the tent is big enough for him to actually get in. Everything was planned properly and now he just has to wait for Dorian to actually show up.

... What if he doesn't show up? ]
