Say you're in a war. Whichever side you're on, you want out. Either your side is losing or your beliefs have changed or you're trying to get close to the people important so you can get rid of them and end everything, you're going to switch sides. Maybe you end up having to kill people who used to be your comrades, your friends. Maybe you're acting as a spy. Maybe you're acting as a double triple agent? Calm down there, buddy. Maybe you just want to run away entirely.
This doesn't only have to apply to wars, of course. Maybe your friends are arguing and you changed your mind about who you agree with. Maybe you're trying to decide what to have for dinner and originally you wanted pizza but now you want a burger and everyone is pissed at you. The point is, things have changed. You have changed. What are you going to do now?

OOC: Hey there, up for some Cross-Canon shenanigans? We could do a recently!fired henchman goes to already!redeemed!SC for aid? Flug here is from a canon that makes tech for villains,(like an evil cross-dimensional ACME) so AUing is easy. I wrote a quick prompt for simplicity's sake, but no worries if you'd rather something else.]
[Dr. Flug had always known his position in life was temporary. Considering his Eldritch Abomination of a boss had opened a business that sold weapons to other villains out of boredom alone made it only natural to assume, when the Supervillain had his fun, he would go back for a third round of world domination.
Black Hat wasn't human. No matter how fondly the Scientist had come to view his years under his employ, he only had himself to blame for getting complacent. It was never a question of whether or not Black Hat would fire him one day... Dr. Flug had just never expected to survive the encounter.
It had been some years since Black Hat Organization had sold anything in Gotham's dimension, but the clients stood out enough. One in particular, had been rumored to be going straight. Flug prayed those sources were right.
Which led him to his current predicament-- rapping on the door of what should be an abandoned hide-out, doing his best to shield against the rain and clutching a briefcase like it was a lifeline.
There was no way heroes or any members of law enforcement would listen to a single word he had to say, and he wouldn't be looked upon too kindly among villains in other circles after being on top for so long.
Who better to turn to than a reformed villain themselves? The only trouble would be whether one Mr. Jonathan Crane had received his coded message explaining his arrival, or if the Doctor was about to stumble upon the man blind.
Hopefully if a security system set upon him, it at least would be one he designed himself.]
