The aliens are coming! The aliens are coming!

Or maybe they're already here. Or maybe they were here and left, taking you with them. Or are you really one of them?

Let's find out.

1) INVASION The ships just appeared in the sky and started bombing major cities!

2) ATTACK The invasion has been going on for a few hours, days, weeks, whatever it is, the people of Earth have begun to fight back.

2) INFILTRATION Aliens are quietly infiltrating society. They could be replacing humans with shapeshifted aliens, brainwashing humans, sending androids among people, or any number of other means.

3) KIDNAPPING You were abducted by aliens for some kind of experimentation or interrogation. Hopefully you don't know much about Earth's defenses.

4) ACQUISITION The aliens look upon all Earth creatures as dumb animals, so you've been picked up as part of their collection or zoo exhibit.

5) LIBERATION It turns out that you were actually an alien all along and now your implanted memories have been removed. Are you going to rejoin your race or defect and stay on Earth?

6) TURNCOAT You're voluntarily an alien spy and now that your overlords have arrived it's time to help them out.

7) SCORCHED EARTH Maybe the aliens have decided humanity isn't worth living. Or maybe they're going to clear the planet to prepare it for their colonization. Either way, it's getting very apocalyptic and unpleasant down here on the planet.

8) TURNABOUT Actually, you're the aliens. This wasn't originally your planet, and the real natives are unhappy.

[So it turns out there's more than one secret government anti-weird-shit organization running around, and an alien invasion is enough to get them working together. Very begrudgingly.

Abe is doing as much research as he can, hoping they can adapt BPRD methods to more technologically based enemies. He has three laptops in front of him and is reading all three at once, in the way only his unique brain can handle. One hand types away at a fourth one without bothering to look down. Even if the floor feels stable beneath his feet he's still keenly aware of how high up they are, and how vulnerable the Helicarrier is to enemy attack.

That and how easy it is to be mistaken for an alien soldier. He's been wearing a SHIELD uniform just to avoid misunderstandings.]

option a: infiltration
[There seemed to be something about the sailor senshi that made them particularly prone to brainwashing, and when it came to this silent invasion that had once again proven true. The alien enemy had managed to isolate Sailor Mars and defeat her, then took over her mind and sent her back to her ordinary life with an assortment of implanted instructions. Wait. Observe. Report. Prepare for our arrival. And if you see a chance, attack.]

option b: kidnapping
[They had meant to only capture a sampling of the population, to research their foe before the invasion began in force, but had managed to scoop up someone they did not expect. Upon discovering that Rei was not quite an ordinary human they'd subjected her to all manner of testing and experimentation, leaving her too drugged to fight back until they'd found a way to neutralize her powers. Now her life consists of a small holding pen and the lab table, drugs and injections and tubes and no other human faces.]

option c: acquisition
[The aliens had discovered quite by accident that a particular floral entity they'd obtained in another star system had a pleasantly sedative effect on their new earth natives, and so planted it in all of their display enclosures. Rei had wanted to fight back, to escape from her captivity, but only a few minutes in the flower-lined pen had left her entirely unable to do so. Now she spends her days in a haze, seething on the inside but incapable of walking across the length of the pen, much less fighting or planning escape.]

[Nobody knew where the rumor had started or how it spread and twisted to such an extent, but soon enough everyone was whispering it. The sailor senshi weren't human. They were part of an alien race, coming to earth to establish their dominance. And they had allies, all of them cleverly disguised as ordinary humans, ready to kill anyone who discovered their true identity.

Unwilling to use their powers against those who were merely misguided, the senshi had decided to lie low, but one by one their real identities had leaked and they were forced to go into hiding. Usagi had been working with Ami and the outer senshi to find a way to make the ruins of the Moon Kingdom inhabitable once more, but that was some time off and in the meantime they had to do their best to stay out of sight and safe.]

You know, I really didn't think it would end in aliens. [Abe's hunkered down in the shelter of a bombed out house. There's fragments of other people's lives all around him and he's trying to ignore them as he pours over his maps.]

Ragnarok, the apocalypse, fae invasion, shuggoths...not aliens. [Let's see...the next subway opening's not far, but that's assuming there haven't been any cave-ins that they can't handle. That will at least let them get a bit further without being detected.]

[Everything had happened so fast that Imogen isn't entirely clear just what had happened. There were aliens, and the news was all about invasions and fighting, and then she's pretty sure one had showed up and grabbed her and shoved her into a metal box and then there was noise and movement and now...well, this looks a lot like some kind of weird zoo. Except that she's in one of the enclosures, and what she can see of the others includes some really, really weird-looking things that she isn't certain are actually living creatures.

But apparently she isn't going to be left alone in her space, since there's a very colorful horse-looking animal not too far away. Why they were stuck together Imogen hasn't any idea, unless maybe "horse" and "human" fell into a similar filing category and they figured it worked out. But she ends up staring blankly at the animal without realizing it, still a bit in shock and trying to process everything that's going on.]
