( Before climbing into the tub, Merrill made sure to wash her feet since they were ... filthy, and she didn't want to get the water all gross before they had time to enjoy it. She sat on a small stool next to the tub with a bucket filled with warm water and scrubbed at her feet. Occasionally she looked over her shoulder at the tub with a longing look on her face and went back to scrubbing her feet harder. Cursing under her breath about not wearing proper shoes.

She couldn't remember the last time she had a proper bath and she was more than ready for it. Especially so since there were bubbles in the tub! She giggled with delight once she was finished with her feet and finished undressing out of her under clothes. )

Bath's ready!

( Merrill called out to Hawke and could hear Barkpawn whimpering and hiding in fear at the dreaded "b" word. Carefully she slipped into the tub and slid in up to her shoulders with a happy sigh. )

[ If Merrill's voice hadn't roused Hawke's attention, the mabari's dramatic cowering certainly would have, and she gives his ears a quick scratch as she passes him. Not for you, silly beast.

With her own armor already discarded, Hawke pauses in the doorway for a moment, just to smile at Merrill's clear delight, surrounded by sweet-scented foam and steam from the tub. She wrings out Merrill's discarded rag to wipe herself down quickly, too eager to join her to pay nearly as much attention as Merrill had done. It wouldn't matter, they'd be in until their fingers pruned anyway. It's an indulgence Hawke can afford now, and she's happy to share it. ]

[ She cautiously climbs in opposite Merrill, tickling her slim ankles with her toes as she settles into place. ]

( Hearing Hawke's voice, Merrill opened her eyes as she turned her head to look at her. A sweet loving smile across her lips. )

It is the best bath I have ever had!

( Merrill scooped up some of the bubbles to put them on top of her head before scooting back some so Hawke would have enough room to get into the tub. )

Much warmer than rivers or streams or the bucket I use at home.

( Once Hawke was in the tub and comfortable Merrill slid her legs between hers and settled them on the side of her hips. )

I can't believe two people can fit in a tub like this! We could probably fit a few more in her if we tried. ( The thought made her giggle a lot. )
