age roleplay meme

for all you sick, sick cuddlers

sometimes you're just...sick of being an adult. too many bills and responsibilities and not nearly enough naps. or maybe you're just sick of feeling alone, like you're the only person looking after yourself. either way, tonight? you're in the mood for a bit of playing at being a different age.

this meme can be for non-sexual or sexual ageplay between characters. this is not exclusively a kink meme, although that can also be explored here.

one character will be the caregiver and the other will be the one being taken care of. now as for what 'care' means? that's up to you to decide. options are provided below just as suggestions, and it's recommended to put which ones you're interested in in that top level. you may also want to put if you'd prefer sexual or non-sexual, and if you'd like to play the caregiver or the care-getter. random number generator is right here if you're feeling bold or indecisive.

the timing
1. negotiation. how are you going to bring this up to your partner? did they walk in on you holding a stuffed animal and now you have some explaining to do?
2. incidental. you two didn't negotiate this, at least not in specific terms. maybe it just naturally happened as a way to soothe your partner. maybe you just asked for help with a simple task and were surprised at how nice it felt. either way, you two are dancing around addressing what exactly you're getting yourselves into.
3. new to it. you guys have discussed it, but this is the first time you've actually tried it out. are things a little awkward as you settle into it? or are you realizing you like it more than you'd thought you would?
4. old pros. for whatever reason, this is the norm for you two by now, but that doesn't mean each individual scene is any less important.
5. rare. this isn't just a fun way to relax. this is almost involuntary - a last-resort measure used to calm you down when you're worked up.
6. switching. you're usually the caregiver, but now you're the one getting your hair brushed and spoken to softly. or perhaps the reverse. either way, roles are swapped, either because you regularly switch, or you've just gotten curious about it after so many sessions playing the one way.
7. any and all others.

the activity (non-sexual)
1. hair brushing. maybe it didn't even start out as ageplay. maybe they just looked like they could use a good de-tangling and things spiraled from there.
2. patching up. someone scraped their knee, elbow, knuckle, you name it. or maybe it's a much more serious injury, but you're trying to handle it in a way that calms down the person who's gotten hurt. either way, some band-aids are needed.
3. snack time. maybe just making a meal for their partner becomes a nuanced thing to do together, once this roleplay is involved. getting taken care of in such a basic way might mean more than either of them realize.
4. accident. they just broke that heirloom vase from old aunt adelaide! and they are so, so sorry. maybe too sorry. maybe you need to think outside the box a bit to help calm them down and remind them that accidents aren't the end of the world.
5. bedtime. either they had a nightmare and you had to get creative to soothe them, or they have trouble sleeping and this helps them drift off. either way, it's two characters and one bed. or couch. or carseat. i don't know your living situation.
6. surely there's more. from coloring to playgrounds, there's certainly more ideas to be had. if you can think of anything else you want, go ahead and specify it in that top-level or when tagging in!

the activity (sexual)
1. any of the above. any of them could end up becoming sexual naturally during a scene, or perhaps you two started out with that intent.
2. punishment. daddy's knee isn't going to warm itself. get over here.
3. control. your caretaker has given you chores. will you listen...or do you like seeing what happens if you don't do as you're told?
4. anything else. surely you people can come up with more things than what this meme-writer has even heard of.

[ Robert is practically childish himself, but also the oldest dad on the cul-de-sac, so he could get into this without judgement. He will definitely read a book or a first-hand-ghost-story from some blog off his phone aloud before falling asleep, patch up some scraped knees running away from a cryptid it was totally a cryptid you guys, he knows what he saw!!, play stupid games, and console some anxiety attacks if your character gets overwhelmed emotionally or hell, maybe they're drunk after a long bar crawl. Not to say he'll do it confidently, but man this guy needs to feel like a decent dad for the first time in a longass while. Physical affection and all that gross stuff please and thanks.

[ only interested in non-sexual. the characters can be in a relationship or not, fine with me - m/f and m/m good to go. mostly interested in 'timing' 2/3/5 with matt as either the one being taken care of or the caretaker. as for 'activities', all would be fine but the most obvious seems to be 2, if matt's the one being taken care of.

mun is currently caught up only through s2 ep3, and i know that limits some canon cr! i'm open to cross-canon. ]

What started as a call up for a bar crawl turns into something far more unexpected -- but really, Robert should have known to anticipate shit like this happening at some point. After finding out Matt's little secret hobby? He imagines this guy has had more broken bones than Robert has seen broken hearts in movies. Geez, does the hospital give him a punch-out card, one free CAT scan for every five ER visits?

No, Matt's too smart for that. He has to keep this on the down low, right? And sometimes that calls for a friend with a permanent first aid kit in his pickup truck. From the looks of things, tonight wasn't so bad, all things considered (those things being fighting crime.) Still, Robert has to wonder how many concussions this skull he's looking over has sustained in the past couple months.

"Gonna hurt." Robert presses a piece of fluffy cotton to Matt's temple, dabbing alcohol to an angry looking cut. A soft, scritch-scratch of dull claws tells the both of them that Betsy's back from investigating the interesting smells in Matt's kitchen. Now she stands beside the couch where mister fantastic is sitting, watching as Robert, leaning back on the coffee table he's perched on, grabs some steristrips. "You bleeding anywhere else I should know about?"

Matt's head aches. His neck does, too, where it cranked around too fast after he took a support beam to the temple. His head had stayed put for a moment while his body kept going with the momentum, and he can feel each and every vertebra's objection to that. But that's not the kind of wound Robert's going to be able to patch up with a truck's first aid kit. It's not even the sort of thing Claire would have much to offer for, if she'd needed to be called.

The truth is, neither of them needed to be called. Robert had just had unbelievable timing for asking for a drinking buddy.

Matt chews on that question, face blank and bare. His glasses are by the front door, waiting for the next time he goes outside as Matt Murdock, JD, instead of as Daredevil. When he goes up to feel at the split on his nose - already bandaged - there's no frames in the way.

"I don't think so." He says, and he mostly means it. "I guess you could look for that better than I could." That smile's a bit too tired to get him much in the way of flirting, though. He's shirtless - in just his underwear, in fact, the suit peeled off and in the bathroom - and seated at the very edge of the couch so Robert can reach his face. He's bent deeply over, elbows digging into his thighs. His muscles still feel shivery from adrenaline and exertion.

His absent smile's faded while he listens to Robert's heart rate - lowered from when he came in, he's actually calmed down since he first saw Matt. Alcohol is a strong smell, and so's his own blood and sweat. Matt hangs a hand over the edge of the couch and, when the sound of excited claws scratching at his floor is followed by a small tongue licking his fingers, he finally gives a small, genuine flash of smile.

Which fades as the purpose of the evening does, adrenaline still jangling him in its wake. Matt swallows and then plants his hands on the couch instead, leverages himself to start getting up. His ankle protests before he's even halfway to vertical. "I'll be right back. Grabbing some pants."

Well, that's fair. Robert's eyes flick down a couple degrees out of instinct, catching on purple and blue bruises here and there, scars... Then back up to Matt's blank face. "I figured you might know your own body as well as you seem to know everything going on around you, that's all."

Robert wonders if that sounded like a dig, now that he's said it. He spreads the thin tape-like bandage across Matt's cut skin, swollen and red but clean, now. It's a start.

Matt goes to move and that completely throws Robert for a loop. "Woah woah-- nuh-uh," Robert commands as he plants a hand down on Matt's shoulder, slamming him back down to sit. "Cool it, cowboy. You could be concussed for all we know. I'll get some for you. You sit there."

Betsy sits obediently, mistaking the direction aimed at Matt, and Robert scoffs a small laugh. "Keep an eye on him, girl."

Robert side-steps away and moves to the bedroom, which feels less like a segregated room and more like an extra extension to the living room. "You, uh...got a preference?" Robert's opening drawers blindly (ha...?) anyway -- t-shirts, underwear, more t-shirts...

[ Spoilers for AHS Coven → Kyle is somewhere between 18-21 (in college, seen drinking, although possibly underage for it) but is basically an oversized child, mentally, during the season run. Long story short, he's a Frankenstein boy, and having died and been resurrected fucks with you. If you wanna take care of this guy, by all means. No smut. Can pull him from during the season run for maximum childlikeness or after the season finale if we want him a little more on the normal functioning side with some need for therapeutic regression to get over some stuff. Overall, very happy to AU for ease of access. Mostly interested in "incidental" for timing and pretty cool with anything listed, or coming up with something together. ]

[i am particularly interested in Oso suddenly becoming a kid and having his younger brothers have to take care of him. non-sexual, of course. just cute messing around with ages shenanigans. also fun! playing out their ages to the extreme, where Osomatsu is about 23 or 24, Karamatsu's 19, all the way down to Todomatsu being around 5 or 6.
