A SMUT MEME

Hot springs are considered rejuvenating in many cultures, from Asia to Europe. All that natural heat and the minerals from the earth flow through water and call throngs of people to come and enjoy the resorts that pop up around these wonders of the world. You, however, would never go to one. You're insecure about baring it all in public; maybe you don't even go out in public because your appearance would make the uncaring crowd lash out at you. Maybe it's just not your scene. You could not know anything about hot springs!

But you're at one now, no matter what, and you're going to be taking a skinny dip - or near it - whether you like it or not. To make matters worse, you're sharing your little pool with someone else. Hey, you don't know them! This place could not even be in your world or your time.

There's little options otherwise, though, so you might as well enjoy the time you're here. Soak and relax, let those tired muscles get a break. Soon, all your troubles, your worries, your ailments, your imperfections all begin to fade away...as do your misconceptions. You know this person, don't you? Yes, you do. Actually you know them very well. You're with them. You came with them, it seems to you, to reconnect, a lover's getaway. After all, what's more steamy than a hot springs?

So go ahead, do what you've intended to do. No one will mind if you get a little frisky in the springs if it helps out your relationship; besides, what do you think some of the extra natural minerals are for? They'll certainly help you get hot under the collar, not that you'll need that. Your (new) mutual history should be enough.

Comment with your character, preferences, and etc. Include canon information and anything relevant to the meme, as well, if you'd like.
All characters are welcome. Appropriate, inappropriate, serious, whatever.
Reply to others. You can hash out your what your characters will eventually believe their shared history to be, or just put up a starter and play it by ear.

[ Gonna just grab all the crosscanon. My only real preference re: prompts is that everything be (at least somewhat) consensual.

I love assumed CR, convoluted scenarios, combustive attraction, bickering, first time, culture differences, ingenue/gruff, worldly man, inhuman characters, Beauty and the Beast dynamics because duh, uncomfortable sex, creativity due to said uncomfortable or awkward sex (ie, dick's too big to fit, better wow with stellar oral sex), partners eager to please, arranged marriage AU, fairy tale/fantasy settings, magic, passionate reunions, redoing first times that didn't go so well. sneaky trysts, orgasming to exhaustion, risk of discovery, emotions spilling out in private, meaningful communication via sex, and much, much more.

Ridiculously into Tolkienverse (dwarves yes pls), ASOIAF/GOT, HP (my kingdom for a Newt Scamander or Lupin), and MCU right now and equally into AUing Belle to fit in any of them, but check out my slightly embarrassing dream list of shit I'd like to play. Sorry for the long-ass copypasta you may now return to your regularly scheduled smut prompts. ]

[ She was skeptical at first, of course, but in truth Thor is not the worst traveling companion one can have. His enthusiastic lust for life verges on annoying at times and every now and then he reminds her a bit of a giant mabari, but he is brave and strong, a veritable force of nature who can cause a greater storm than she can.

He impresses. The longer she spends in his presence the more tempted she is to poke and prod at him, sometimes literally, but barring the most casual of touches or cleaning a wound she keeps her hands to herself for days, any teasing purely verbal.

When she joins him at the spring her initial intention is simply to enjoy it and not let him have it all to himself, but he is so distractingly broad and drops of water glisten against his chest in a way that demands her attention. ]

You will have to make room.

[ A smile tugs at one corner of her mouth. She pulls her cowl over her head and reaches behind her back to untie her top without a hint of self-consciousness, but her golden eyes are watchful. ]

[Thor is well aware that he can be annoying, and so it only makes him more annoying. He's a little more in tune with his surroundings than he lets on, and he likes to rile people up. Morrigan can be endlessly entertaining when she's at the end of her tether with him.

Beyond that, he enjoys her company. She's a fascinating woman and a formidable ally. He's glad to have her on his side, because he struggles to imagine taking her down. His imagination, sadly, doesn't let him down in all aspects of their relationships. He's had to acknowledge his attraction to her several times, but he's withheld for the good of the journey. Even Thor knows how awkward a one night stand can become when you have nobody but each other for the foreseeable weeks ahead.]

I'll have to, will I? [He asks, head lolling back lazily to look at her. His composure isn't so cool when she reaches behind her back, but he attempts to keep a straight face.

If that's how she wants to play, well..]

There's plenty of room here. [Yes, he did just gesture at his lap.]

[ His question carries a pleased sort of cockiness that is not unattractive on him, though she will not admit it aloud. The way his eyes seem to want to follow the motion of her hands is even better, though, and it makes the slant of her smile sharpen.

She shrugs out of the thin material, letting it fall to the ground, and continues to eye him just as closely while she steps out of her boots and pushes her leggings and smallclothes down together, more a matter-of-fact routine than a show put on for his entertainment. ]

You expect me to sit in your lap? [ Her eyebrows arch, her exhale almost a laugh. ] How bold of you.

[ She may not undress specifically for his benefit, but she would be lying if she claimed that the weight of his eyes along any inch of her pale skin was not a heady thing. Once stripped to nothing but the few pins that hold up her hair, she moves toward the spring's edge. Her actions veer away from her original intent the moment her hand finds his shoulder and braces there as she lowers into the water. ]

[Having an inter-planetary romance can be trying at times. With Jane succeeding in her field, her knowledge is in demand and she's wanted at every angle. Thor is.. less busy as of late. After defeating Malekith and returning to Earth, he hasn't had a lot going for him. No big, scary monsters to fight. No battles to save the Earth. He's become fond of daytime television, eating cereal out of the box and.. pining.

At least he often travels with her, and this time it's to Japan. It's his good friend daytime television that inspires him to bring up a visit to the local hot springs, and when there's a gap in Jane's schedule they take advantage of it.

Thor is the first to sink into the springs and he does so with a low, rumble of comfort. It's warm and pleasant and.. oddly soothing. He feels at ease all of a sudden. Any doubts or worries he'd been having are gone to the wind.

He glances up at Jane, still wrapped in her towel on the outskirts of the springs. He raises a brow.]

You really should try this.

[Jane was no longer living the life of the starving scientist, thanks to the sponsorships she'd received by virtue of her latest research. However, old habits were hard to break. She still kept her flat in London stocked with cereal and pop tarts, because those didn't require her to cook when she could be in her makeshift lab, making progress on her calculations or experiments.]

[She didn't know when she'd become so busy. The last time she'd felt so frenzied was when she was searching for Thor, and now that he was here, she couldn't even spend as much time with him as she'd wanted. She'd never expected that life would be peaceful and idyllic just because they were together, but this was not what she'd envisioned.]

[Jane was glad for the lull in her schedule, because that meant quality time with her intergalactic boyfriend - something she sorely missed.]

[She gave him a smile as she walked over to him, leaving the towel in a wooden tub as per decorum and sinking into the hot water with a long, pleased sigh.]

This is great. [She made her way toward him, her smile much more radiant than it had been these past few days.] Spending time with you is great.
