It's no secret that in most modern societies, incest is frowned upon these days. "Keeping it in the family" is no longer a necessity, as people can travel freely and go many places to meet potential mates. Of course, that's not always the case. In some cultures, incest is allowed as long as it's not too close of a relationship; Japan, for instance, permits first cousins to be married, as do many other countries. In addition, incest was often practiced in the past, both for convenience. Still, today, it's mostly taboo, though some continue to partake because of circumstance or other factors.

And, as you all know, we love breaking a good taboo AND we can make quite a lot of...factors.

We're providing them today, everything from the setting to the relatives. But you don't have a living relative, or the person you're stuck with isn't related to you! No problem. Aren't they really related to you? We'll make you believe that, at any rate. There's lots of varieties, too, so it's something the whole family can get in on.

He will come off as charming at first however, mannerly, gracious, and personable. There may be something just a little bit off about him however, and even family members may be unaware of his sadism until it's too late.

[It was becoming increasingly hard for Dietrich to keep the other half of his life hidden from his brother. So much time was spent away from the house because Cain sent him on various missions.

Even when he wasn't off trying to accomplish such things, his superior would make him stay long hours at headquarters which meant sneaking into the manor late at night. He was sure he'd gotten away with it all those times because no one confronted him about where he was.

Tonight he's in his room, packing some belongings here and there because he has a target to take out and she's located in Rome. Of course he would rather get a few days off, but when working for the Orden, those are few and far between.]

Stiles never thought he'd be back here so soon even if 'soon' was only a couple of years and the reason is almost bad if not worse than the reason they left in the first place. Their home is still a burnt out shell of it's once former beauty and Stiles can still see it in his head, large and full of life and love and family. Now all he has is his brother, Derek.

Derek who doesn't laugh or smile anymore, not like he used to. It's not like he doesn't understand or anything. He does, as much as his brother. But he misses it, misses the way Derek used to tease and torment him, run with him in the evenings and on the full moons. In New York, he wasn't allowed. Too many people, too many possible witnesses and not enough ground to cover while shifted. It'd been terrible. He'd never felt so confined before.

But now they were back and Stiles would be free to run again. He hopes that he'll be able to convince Derek to do it too. Derek is the only family he has left. He may be human but he is still a wolf at heart. He may not be as fast as Derek while shifted but he's trained himself over the years to be able to keep up. He's human, the only human Hale left, and maybe that's why Derek is so damn protective of him. It's suffocating sometimes, even more so now that he's older.

It's made even worse by the realization he's attracted to Derek, his own brother. But really, have you seen the guy? He'd have to be blind not to notice. It's probably the one time that it actually sucks to have a werewolf for a brother. A werewolf who can smell everything. He's always tried to keep himself calm when around Derek, especially after the first time he got aroused seeing Derek half dressed coming out of the bathroom in their New York apartment.

Yep, life was gonna suck ass down here in Beacon Hills.

Derek could have gone the rest of his life without seeing Beacon Hills again. There's too many good memories, memories that are tainted by the real, physical reminder of the house he, his older sister and his younger brother had lived in.

The house his family had burned in, because he fell in love with a hunter.

It eats him up inside, and he knows Laura knows - Laura could smell Kate on him, and confronted him after the fire. Stiles might know, but Derek can't bring himself to ask, because if he doesn't - he doesn't know what Stiles would think. If he'd make him leave.

Derek doesn't think he could handle that. He wants - he wants so many things, things that are wrong and that he could never tell Laura or Stiles, especially Stiles. The way he wants to set his teeth at Stiles' neck until he's limp and breathless under him.

So he kept it to himself, both the Kate thing and the Stiles thing, and focused on keeping Stiles safe, and Laura safe. But Stiles was more important than just that; he's human, carries the potential for the werewolf gene in his blood but he doesn't shift. Stiles has the heart of a wolf, and it had shown in New York, with how he'd gotten twitchy and agitated around so many people, to the point that they'd had to tell people he had ADD (and chuck the chemical-smelling pills down the sink), but there had been no room to run in New York, aside from a few precious camping trips.

Now they're back in Beacon Hills, because Laura is dead. And Derek doesn't want to let anyone know he's here, but Stiles is the smart one and Derek can't ignore that, can't let him get behind on school like he did, so he marches them both into the high school registrar and gets him put in.

"Stiles" Hale, back on the records. There's no legal guardianship paperwork, it's all Laura's, but the secretary takes it in anyway when Derek looks at her, probably doing it out of pity.

But when Stiles comes back from school that first day and says "Argent", Derek damn near has a conniption fit.

"In the school," He growls, getting up from the small, tiny apartment they have (the first they could get, and Derek sleeps on the couch and lets Stiles have the bedroom) and crowding Stiles back against the door, scenting him.

This isn't good. Not after they found Laura cut in half, Laura who is buried on the Hale property under a circle of wolfsbane. Derek knows it's an animal, can smell another wolf on the body - but Argents.

He is actually relieved to be in school again. He is smart but sometimes downplays it a bit. Getting a B or a C here, even though he could have straight A's all across the board. He doesn't want to draw attention to himself anymore than he has already by returning, by being a Hale and having a burnt out home and a dead family.

When he's in his first class he gets accosted by Scott McCall who doesn't look any different than he had before he left those years ago. The boy who used to be his best friend is thrilled to see him back and of course apologizes for Laura, having heard the news. Stiles smiles and shrugs and they sit together in class and in lunch. It's like no time at all had passed between them and they're back to being best friends again.

Derek'll be pissed, he's sure. Then Stiles introduces him to his girlfriend. A pretty dimpled-smile girl named Allison Argent. Stiles is barely able to keep himself from freaking out because Argents are here. Hunters. He wonders if they know that he and Derek are back in town. Allison doesn't seem to know what he is - or rather who he is, just that his older sister has died and she gives her condolences. So he assumes she's not in the know.

When he gets home it's the first thing he tells Derek, tries not to panic or freak out at the way Derek is sort of freaking out. His heart skips a beat and he tries to keep his body from reacting with the way Derek has him pinned against the door, nose buried in the crook of his neck. He can probably smell her on him from when they'd sat together at lunch.

"Argent's daughter, Allison," he clarifies, swallowing and willing his arousal down. "I don't think she knows - about what her parents do. She didn't seem like it. She's dating Scott."

Derek wonders if it's a trap, if Laura really was killed by Argents - but unless they've learned how to fool his nose, it's not likely.

Still, he growls again and presses his nose against Stiles' neck, smelling him, smelling a million people but two scents stand out starkly.

He remembers McCall's, a little, and the unfamiliar one must be the Hunter's daughter.

"She's dangerous anyway. She's a hunter's daughter," he says, rubbing his cheek against his brother's neck for just a moment. Hopes his brother will think it's because of Allison, not because he wants Stiles to smell like him, always. He finally pulls away, but leaves his arms on either side of Stiles.

She's dangerous because she's an Argent, and an Argent burned down their home.

Stiles swallows, mouth dropping open when Derek rubs his cheek against his skin and secretly he loves it. He loves it when Derek gets possessive and protective, when Derek scent-marks him. He's so screwed up, he knows it, he has to be to want Derek the way he does but he can't help it. He doesn't think he'll ever want anyone the way he does his brother.

But he tries hard to keep it to himself, to not let it show. He can't lose Derek - Derek is all he has and if he looses his brother because he's damaged he'll be all alone.

"I know, I know Derek. I've been staying away from her," he says, hoping it'll help placate his brother. "We have classes and stuff together, so I can't always. But I try to when I can."

Derek frowns at Stiles deeply. If he wasn't sure it'd be a bad idea, both for the public and for Stiles himself, he'd pull him out of school and just keep him here, safe. Where no one could hurt him.

But he can't. He fists his hands against the wall, letting out an irritated sigh.

"Just. Be careful," He says finally, pressing his forehead against Stiles' and then moving away. "You stink of McCall, too," he adds after a moment, already moving towards the kitchen.

His mind is on overdrive. How to deal with the Argents. Logically, he should approach them, declare that he has no intent to harm anyone and had nothing to do, is just looking for Laura's killer. But he doesn't want anything to do with them, at all.

They're all as complicit as he is in the murder of the Hale family.

His frown is set deep on his face, and he almost misses what Stiles says, but comes back to himself so he won't.

Stiles nods and presses in just a little, drops his head a fraction to nuzzle against Derek's face to try to reassure him that he'll be alright. It's something he does - more a comfort to himself than to Derek. He likes smelling of Derek and for his brother to smell like him too.

"I will, I promise," he murmurs, watching as Derek pulls away and then lets out a huff of a laugh. "Yeah, I figured. He's the same as always, just older now." And like a large damn puppy, seriously. But it is nice though, to at least have one friend here now that he's back.

"Do you want me to make something for dinner? Or we could order out?" He'd been far too nervous over finding out about Allison to even think about eating lunch today.

It works to comfort the brotherly side of Derek - the wolf just howls, wants to take, and he batters those feelings back for the moment. Just enjoys the scent of his brother on his skin.

"That's not reassuring," Derek says, though it's not for any active dislike of McCall (anymore) and merely to keep the status quo.

He shrugs. "Take out might be easier. Our fridge isn't exactly stocked right now." He debates on talking about the next part, because he knows it's sensitive for Stiles, but...

"I'm going to see Peter, tomorrow. I was wondering if you wanted to come."

Peter, who was always Stiles' favorite uncle. Who helped him with his homework, helped Derek with his as well, and made the whole family pancakes on Sundays.
