Jack nods as he slowly drinks from his mug. The vampire watches as the kitten settles down in Yuri's lap, purring and falling asleep. He's glad she is settling in...accepting that he will be around.

He gives a little start when Yuri mentions the blood draw. Jack had already started making backup plans...thinking of numbers to call for extra bags. He feels his heart clench in his chest.

"Are you sure?"

He wants real blood, but he could make due with synthetic. Fear and loathing made it bitter anyway.
