Ah, rain—the precipitation that the whole world has a love/hate affair with. It waters the garden for free and ruins baseball games. It cools you off in the summer and it causes more ice and sleet to appear in the winter. Sometimes it is lovely and falls at a decent pace for a few hours, other times, it blasts the whole eastern seaboard away.

Poems and songs have been written about it, people have danced in it, others have cursed its entire existence, and still more refuse to go out and drive in it.

Now it’s time to roll some dice and see what the weather will have in store for you today.

1. DRIZZLE ☂ It’s not too heavy or too light of a downpour, just enough to wash away stuff in the air, water the ground, and clean up the streets.

2. MONSOON ☂ It’s horrible and awful! Rain is coming down in buckets, no one can get anywhere, the wind is whipping everything about, and now the cable is out.

3. SHOWER ☂ Reminds you of early spring, doesn’t it? A nice shower to make everything all green and smell fresh again. Lovely.

4. FLOOD ☂ While rain is good, it can sometimes be bad. Grab a boat!

5. CATS & DOGS ☂ You’re lucky with this one. It’s not the worst storm in the world, but it’s still pretty heavy. Be careful when driving!

2. HUMIDITY ☂ It’s that time of the year again when the humidity rises and the rain has two options: make it worse or make it go away. Good luck getting the latter.

3. GRAY RAIN OF DEPRESSION ☂ We all know this one. Stuck in the middle of no where, or right after an argument, or something that leads to angst, the rain decides to express someone’s feelings in a physical form, serious or over the top.

4. QUIET MORNING ☂ Nothing to do, nowhere to be… sometimes the rain is a welcomed addition to a quiet day. Gives you an excuse to stay in, curl up in a warm blanket and a book, maybe a loved one or a cup of hot chocolate. With sprinkles.

5. PUDDLES ☂ After it rains, what is the number one thing you have to do? Go put on some rubber boots and splash around of course!

6. SUDDEN STORM ☂ It might have been predicted, but sometimes storms just sweep in and do their thing with little to no warning. Hope you’re not outside.

7. THUNDER & LIGHTNING ☂ Loud, surprising, scary, ominous, comforting, fantastic to watch or listen to… some like thunder and lightning, others not so much. Of course, if this happens before a big confrontation, the universe is telling you something.

8. CAN’T GET WORSE ☂ You did not say that. You did not just say that. How many times does this need to be seen in movies and books before anyone learns?

9. STUCK ☂ No, no, no, no. This cannot be happening. What happened to the ten percent chance of rain? You forgot your umbrella and now you’re stuck in it!

10. RUINED PLANS ☂ You had all these wonderful plans to go outside, have some fun in the sunshine, do some errands, maybe a date… and the weather goes against them.

11. DANCING ☂ Sometimes rain is a cause for celebration, or you just feel like doing something spontaneous. Grab someone to join you and get wet!

12. RAIN BATTLE ☂ The most intense, important battles happen in the rain. Verbal spars, punching someone in the guts; it’s all dramatic and climatic. And no one slips.

13. DATE ☂ Aww, don’t let the weather ruin your date! It can be really romantic, being out in the rain, and it’s always fun to go with the flow.

14. A DAY INSIDE ☂ Sometimes, it’s just better to stay inside and enjoy something simple and easy like board games or catching up on TV shows, or maybe the bills.

He’s drawn to the rain like a moth to the flame. Before it started he was glued to the windowsill, watching the skies outside like a puppy brimming with anticipation, letting the light from the billboard instill a glimmer of hope into his lifeless eyes. She’s letting him believe that she’s asleep so he turned around and quietly padded towards the stairs, less like Daredevil and more like the Pink Panther as he slowly started up the flight of stairs to the roof, letting warm fingers trail up the railing in the dark. When the old wood creaked under his foot he froze and readjusted his weight, making his way up as quietly as he could manage. Once he was at the top he listened out for her heartbeat again before he licked his lips and wrapped calloused fingers around the doorknob to the roof access door. His other hand was pressed flat against the door and he opened it carefully, sneaking outside. He left the door slightly ajar so he could get back in without a key.

Matthew was standing alone on the roof when the rain came. He closed his eyes and smiled, letting the water trickle between his fingers. The burst of surprised giggles and curses preceded the stampede of heavy footsteps rushing to get out of the rain, and then the streets went quiet save for the droplets of water rolling off worn tires and the squeak of windscreen wipers brushing water off coated glass. The smell of wet asphalt rose from the streets as the water filled his senses with a gift of almost-sight that only a blind man could appreciate.

The nightly chill slithered in through the gap in the door and gusted down the stairs, licking Natasha’s cheek and wrapping cold tendrils around her exposed skin. It called out to her like a siren song as the rain started coming down in sheets. Made her realise that the big spoon left a lukewarm indent in the sheets where he’d been lying. The reflection of inverted numbers on the digital clock ticked over on round shades sitting untouched on the bedside table.

[Bars and rainy days had always mixed. Originally, Kojiroh was going to leave after having a drink or two... But the rain had made him reconsider. He wasn't getting enough jobs as a detective lately, so he had no choice but to goof around until he gotten a call. Anything mundane like saving a cat from a tree would do.

Until then, he'd scope out the room until he notices a downcast woman sitting by herself. Kojiroh being the womanizer that he was couldn't resist the calling. At the very least, he could ruffle some feathers to pass the time as the rain shower blazed through. So he'll be approaching Kazami from behind and extends his index finger to poke at her back. It was as if he's pointing a pistol behind her.]

[He has been out in the storm for hours. His robes, made for inclimate weather, hang sodden and heavy as he drags himself in every direction he can think of but there had still been no sign of the First Order. He had been abandoned on a planet filled with Resistance, and if his seethe could translate to temperature, the water would be steaming off of him now. How quickly the hunter had become the hunted.

Ren had ducked into the first cave he had found -- even after being in the elements for hours, the Resistance would have to be a load of fools to catch up with him, injured or not. If he could last until the morning, contacting the First Order would become infinitely easier.

He is roused from his slumber by the drive of a dagger deep in his mind -- a warning, an echo of the Force that feels all too familiar. No -- impossible for her to have snuck upon him like that. Here without a saber, and without support.

Immediately, he pushes himself to his feet, hand resting where his saber should be, but isn't. Perhaps he could intimidate her back Inot the downpour, or perhaps she would run for help and he would be able to move. Either way, he won't let her catch him sitting down.]

[All things considered, Summerland isn't a bad place. People respect her wishes here. No one tries to touch her, no one bothers her, and as long as she does her work and they aren't under a threat it's peaceful. And the land is beautiful. She watched the rain for a long time, falling outside the windows, and after an hour of the downpour not letting up, she decided to go find David.

She finds him in one of the larger open rooms, sitting with his knees drawn up on one of the comfy plush chairs. She has her gloves and her full outfit on, her hair tied up in an orange ribbon. She's silent as she approaches, and she takes a seat on the arm of the chair to his left, her feet resting on the cushion.

She tilts her head against her draped arm and waves softly at him with the fingers of her other hand, smiling over at the man to her side.]

They hadn't talked since Seth had been an asshole once learning Kate was gone for good. At least, that was what he understood it to mean when a person's belongings were no longer to be found.

He could hear Margo carrying on with Richie, making Seth even more sure that ending things had been for the best. Kate came back. Maybe she had no memory of their relationship in Pathema but she was back. Everything was how it should be.

Only it wasn't.

Margo might've gotten her way with Richie now that Seth was no longer biting but Santánico had shown up in Pathema. The witch had no idea who the queen bitch was. His money was on the woman that managed to take Richie from him. The younger Gecko wouldn't do that again.

Richie's love life wasn't any of Seth's business. He didn't care, other than not wanting to hear him going at it with anybody while Seth was back to waiting on Kate and self service. Making out and jerking off weren't giving his neck much slack which only put him in a worse mood.

Out of all days to reunite with Margo, it had to be the day rain fell like buckets in Pathema. Gus couldn't pick up the potion princess because of a prior commitment and Richie promised Kate time. Seth had no excuses he could give. He didn't enter her house like the old days but knocked on the door.

The rain started on the drive over and worsened by the time they left. He made the mistake of stopping to see if Margo could manage to make something like gas for his car that ran out and found themselves locked out of the GTO. "Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?" Seth yelled and kicked at the closest tire.
