MEMORY SHARE MEME That says memory share, not memeory share. Anyway, the gist is this: characters get a chance to share memories with another one. It can either be voluntary or involuntary (on both characters' parts. maybe discuss nonconsensual telepathy and shit ooc first). Mind melds, pensieves, jamjar situations forcing it on everyone, whatever. Sometimes you experience the memory like it's happening to you or sometimes you experience it as though spectating it. Sometimes you get to choose which memory and sometimes you don't. It all depends. Maybe it changes your relationship forever, maybe it catches you out in a lie. In any case, now you know something about each other you probably won't ever forget. • Top level your character. Include any details you might think are relevant, like what memory they would be sharing. Or don't, we're not the cops. • Reply to other people's top levels! • Have fun!

[ lily is one of the best duelists in the order. she's sent on missions on her own often and comes back unscathed the most out of any of them. most of her wounds are superficial and when she does get something worse, the scars fade like everyone else's do.

even sainted lily potter has her off days.

she'd sent the patronus first. a silent and wavering herald of her arrival, just long enough before her appearance to split the wards for her to prevent her from being barricaded out. apparating had been just fast enough but it had opened the wound more—lily stumbles into the safe house clutching her neck, blood welling out from under her fingers and other hand clutching the doorframe so that she can stay upright.

her eyes are wide and borderline glassy but there's enough panic in them that it's clear she's still cognizant and her gaze darts around the room to find remus, trying to place him. james is still on a mission. this is the first and only place she'd thought to turn to.

she opens her mouth to speak but the only sound that comes out is something wet and raw. ]

Taako has long since known there's a huge difference between knowing something logically and what his stupid ass emotions will scream at him nonstop the moment he trips into something kind of traumatic. Not super traumatic! Oh, definitely not, just. Kind. Of.

What matters is he's been getting better. He has friends, he has family, he has a boyfriend. He's doing awesome on the whole trusting people front. And cooking? Well...

He hasn't quite managed to cook with anyone else besides Joaquin. He could cook for his loved ones most days, but letting someone else into his kitchen was hard. Which was fine for the most part, he wouldn't want most of the people he knew in the kitchen anyway.

Then Lup got her body back and there was no way he was getting around that.

Which had led to his current attempts at avoidance. Sorry, Lulu, can't cook, he's working on sharing the bombass adventures of the Bureau of Balance, staring Taako from TV It takes some work to make scrolls that people could copy and spread the word, he can't help he's busy!

He's pretty sure she's gonna see through his lies at some point, but if there is one thing he's good at, it's avoiding shit as long as elfly possible.

...which would be easier if he knew how to MAKE scrolls, but screw it. He's actually brilliant, he's sure he can figure it out. Which was why he had spell components and magic items scattered in a close cluster around him as he worked in his room. "Let's see...maybe if I use some iron and crystal....that might work..."

[whatever this thing is making memories almost real, Law is not a fan of it. It's like walking through a living crystal ball, where the vision goes on around him so he can spectate but not participate. None of the people even see him. If anyone else walks into this waking dream, they'll see what he sees...

First his boots crunch on snow, not the heavy snow of Minion Island but another nearby one. Ahead of him two teenagers are laughing raucously as they shove a third person between them - not a person, though, a bear. As Law slowly grows closer, intruding on the scene, a stunted figure wrapped in a familiar cloak and topped with that old hat comes up from the left, also marching toward the shoving march. His words are harsh, but it has the effect of stopping the boys from bullying the bear, at least for a moment. They look about to turn on him instead. He's shorter and younger than they, they can take him...

Then, it's a flicker of several moments across a span of time, all in the same place. The cobblestone streets of Dressrosa are lovely at first, warmed by the sun, but then next second they turn dark with the shadows of buildings shifting and people running. A second later and the sky is cut through with shimmering strings, and then the next flash jumps to the same area now cluttered with rubble. Law walks steadily through the scene toward a spot in the distance, a towering plateau where puffs of dust and explosions point out spots where battle is taking place. He doesn't want to be here again, but he's here all the time in his nightmares. Moreso than the old ones of Cora-san and everything that happened back then. This is far more fresh and recent, Law almost hopes no one sees this one.]

But it doesn't stop him reacting when a voice, a woman's voice, haughty, irritated, addresses him.
