All been arranged

recognised as a social contract. Unions were entered into for many
reasons: to obtain property, to unite families, to carry on a bloodline,
et cetera. Whatever the reason, congratulations, you're getting married!
HOW IT WORKS:
❧ Post a comment with your character's name, canon, and any preferences.
❧ If there's a specific set of circumstances you like best, set the scene.
❧ Or leave your comment blank and let others use RNG to choose the scenario. Feel free to mix and match.
❧ Please note the prompts below are merely suggestions and you're more than welcome to come up with your own situation.
❧ Have fun!

Dhurke's enthusiasm for a future daughter-in-law aside, Nahyuta decided he'd treat this just like any of his other visits to foreign kingdoms, and that he would go because it was both his duty, and his spiritual purpose. He had spent much of the journey brushing up on the Lunari language, culture and customs. Dressing for the cold wasn't a problem -- Khura'in is a mountainous nation, and bitterly cold in winter -- so he comes dressed in a heavy white shawl and surcoat.
As he enters the castle, he looks the picture of serene, diplomatic poise. It's only when he spots Lioriley that his expression shifts into a soft smile. He returns the bow.]
The pleasure is mine, Princess Lioriley. May the blessings of the Holy Mother be received by you and your fair kingdom.

I am sure you are hungry after such a long journey. Our chefs are working diligently as we speak. In the meantime. [ She cocks her head to the side, smiling. ] Would you care for a tour of the castle? 'Tis to be your home soon enough. And it will give us time to talk properly while we wait, hm?

[He means that sincerely. Having meals in foreign countries, to him, is one of the highlights, and he's heard good things about Lunari cuisine.]
Yes, please show me around. This castle is quite different to Khura'in's palaces, so I would like to acquaint myself with it -- and with you, now we may finally speak in person.

In the meantime, they have quite a tour ahead of them. Lioriley moves to stand beside him, intentions set on hooking her arm around his as they walk - assuming there is no Khura'inese tradition that says that's not allowed or something. Either way, she leads him up a few steps to a pair of large wooden doors, currently being opened by two armor-clad Lunari. Everything about the castle is simple in design, with few embellishments. Royalty they may be, but they see little need for useless trinkets.
There are a lot of books, though. Even in the grand hall they step into. Beside the thrones are tomes, as well as what seems to be a scholar working at a desk off to the side. He starts to stand when they enter, but Lioriley quickly waves him back down. ]
I would like to see the castles of Khura'in myself. 'Tis a shame I have not had the chance to visit yet.
