Time For Some Drunk History/Canon Storytime/That Thing I Love
Everyone's got something they can just go on and on and on about, even when they're a little bit drunk. Or a lot bit drunk. In fact, honestly? Maybe they've even got a better handle on it when they're drunk. So honestly-- honestly?
Just. Sit there. And let them tell you about it.
how do.
- Post a top-level with character info, including what thing they can nerd on about. Is it a particular time in history? Is it how magic/science/an ice cream machine works? Is it their take on that one thing that happened in canon?
- Tag other folks with questions about their topic or a general gentle prompt to get them rambling.
- Roll to see how drunk you're getting and tell the people the thing you know while you're super coherent.
how drunk.
1] Still sober - Work on that.
2] A little tipsy - You might be getting a little ramble-y about the thing.
3] A few hard drinks in - Okay, so, sentences are hard and you don't know how to pronounce the one thing but you are damn sure this is how it went down.
4] Plastered - Listen, you'll answer that question in a second, but has the other person seen what the table looks like if you put your head down on it.

( Alright, yes, she's got this story now. )
They told him that his brother had abandoned him, and no longer loved him. They told him that he was lost in the Fade, and would never find him. But Dirthamen didn't listen, Solas. No -- Dirthamen knew that Falon'din would never not love him. Because they were brothers.

Much like him as he bites his tongue to keep from saying too much. Dirthamen and Falon'din would have done everyone a favor by staying lost in the Fade if there had been any truth to this tale. ]
Did they have a touching reunion?

( But that's still rather unkind of you to say, Solas, and Elera frowns and jabs a finger in his direction. It's harmless, really, but it's the emotion behind it that's more important. Or something. It's all getting a little fuzzy around the edges at this point. )
Of course. Falon'din and Dirthamen swore never to be parted again, and remained there. Because Falon'din wanted to-- to-- to usher the souls of the dead, and something to do with uthenera. So you see -- family and loyalty.

And what did Dirthamen decide to do while his brother guided the dead? [ Steal the freshly dead's secrets, no doubt. ]
no subject
( Because that was the sort of person she was. )
Oh. He stayed. And helped guide everyone who entered uthenera. ( Yes, that was right, Elera knew that bit. ) He searches for the secret of dreams. I suppose you'd know all about that.
( Because he's Solas. And he does the dreaming thing. )

Yes, I do, though I imagine the one known for secrets and knowledge sought out a more complicated answer than needed.
[ Dirthamen was an ass like that. ]

( She's just saying there's a lot of sass for so little reason!! )
Are you going to, Solas, write her a letter and invite her to come personally?
( That might not go down as well as he might think, but Elera would never say no to seeing her clan again. )
no subject
[ They have offended him in so many ways. That is a can of worms he will not be opening. ]
I had no intentions of contacting your clan, Inquisitor, [ he assures her with a raised brow. ] Unless you would recommend it for further questions.

( Because what else could he be implying about those who claim affinity with them? )
Keeper Deshanna would be more than happy to match wits with you. Although I think I'd miss the thrill of doing it myself.
