Time For Some Drunk History/Canon Storytime/That Thing I Love
Everyone's got something they can just go on and on and on about, even when they're a little bit drunk. Or a lot bit drunk. In fact, honestly? Maybe they've even got a better handle on it when they're drunk. So honestly-- honestly?
Just. Sit there. And let them tell you about it.
how do.
- Post a top-level with character info, including what thing they can nerd on about. Is it a particular time in history? Is it how magic/science/an ice cream machine works? Is it their take on that one thing that happened in canon?
- Tag other folks with questions about their topic or a general gentle prompt to get them rambling.
- Roll to see how drunk you're getting and tell the people the thing you know while you're super coherent.
how drunk.
1] Still sober - Work on that.
2] A little tipsy - You might be getting a little ramble-y about the thing.
3] A few hard drinks in - Okay, so, sentences are hard and you don't know how to pronounce the one thing but you are damn sure this is how it went down.
4] Plastered - Listen, you'll answer that question in a second, but has the other person seen what the table looks like if you put your head down on it.

( She nuzzles her cheek against his chest, a little laugh falling from her lips. )
And what do you think?

[That laugh makes him smile a little, and he adjusts the position of his hand in her hair, so that it rests against her head.]
They're very well remembered by the Watch. It was them who moved the headquarters to Castle Black, from the Nightfort, and doubled the size of The Gift. But they say Alysanne first flew up on her dragon Silverwing to see the Wall because she was bored.

( Saying in so many words that she's found him to be a great king; one who puts the welfare of his people before all else. Day sighs deeply, feeling as though she's floating. Whether it be the drink or his touch is entirely up for debate.
(Probably both.) Again, she laughs. That little tidbit delights her. )
I like her already.

They're in decline again, at the Wall... not many men at all when I left it. But it helped them for a time.
[He becomes more thoughtful, and continues,]
Ruling all seven kingdoms... or even the six, without Dorne... would be different from ruling just one.

We should bring them south to Winterfell. Better we all stand together.
( She nods her head. )
Just as ruling Slaver's Bay was. It was wearying to do it alone. I would not want to now.

[How many days do they have left? He sits up a little, reaches for his cup, and drains the mead. These could be the first days or the last days; he can't be sure.
What would Jaehaerys and Alysanne have done in this situation? They'd brought half a dozen dragons to Winterfell, but not to fight the Dead, only for a state visit. Maybe that would have been enough if they'd come for the other reason, even if one dragon had fallen.]
I wouldn't want you to be in Slaver's Bay now either.
[He doesn't mean that in the sense that he needs her armies and dragons, either.]
The Ghiscari Empire, wasn't it?

( Too few, perhaps. But she refuses to despair or doubt. Leaning over, she kisses him soundly, tasting the honey on his tongue.
When she leans back, her gaze is intent upon his face. )
No. Better that we are both here together.
( She knows that; and reaches down to grasp his hand. )
Formerly, in any rate. Yes.
