The FANTASY TAVERN meme

The center of the town's social life, a place to drown your troubles, and a place for wandering adventurers to start a thousand quests with a thousand shifty clients. It could be in the middle of a sprawling metropolis, or the only watering hole in a one horse town, or even just a solitary rest stop with no other signs of civilization for miles. Wherever you are, get yourself in out of the cold and grab a pint of ale!

Some prompts!
1: Brawling - That guy over there just said something about your mother. Break a tankard over his head! Five minute from now, everyone will be too busy punching each other's teeth out to even remember who threw the first punch.
2: Flirting - After a pint or two, suddenly the prospect of talking to that cute one over there isn't quite so daunting. Time to make your move!
3: Plotting - You're here, but you'd rather not advertise the fact. Find a shadowy corner to lurk in and conduct your almost certainly illegal business in private.
4: Gambling - The dice are HOT tonight. 5 gold pieces on the one eyed dwarf! Keep an eye on that halfling though, I think he's playing with loaded dice.
5: Hiring - You're an adventurer, and some client wants to get you and your friends to perform some feat of heroism in exchange for lots of money. About half of all D&D campaigns start here.
6: Resting - Maybe you've been working all day, maybe you just came in out of a blizzard or torrential downpour. Either way the tavern is warm and smells like food, and all you want to do is just sit down somewhere and not move very much fo a while.
7: Drinking - Look, you're not hear for anything complicated. You just want to drink until you can't walk straight and pass out in a stable somewhere.
8: Wildcard - I'm sure there's lots of other stuff you can do here that I didn't think of.

[Despite the lack of something big and pointy on her head, Beatrice is still dressed way too elegantly for this place and drinking something green and bubbling, so she's almost as obvious a witch as Marisa is.]

[ Glory doesn't drink (because he is a lich and therefore alcohol has no real effect on him) and is probably here just to babysit or enjoy being around people.

And because he's here to enjoy being around people he has his hood pulled firmly over his head so that nobody can see he's a skeleton.

Someone starts a fight in his vicinity, though, and he wades in to try and separate people before it swallows up the whole tavern. This doesn't work very well, despite his liberal use of charisma and holding people apart to stop them from getting at each other, and soon enough more fights are breaking out and everything is chaotic.

He bumps into Bai Lin purely by accident, trying to carry a non-combatant out of the way. ]

It wasn't a very busy night in the tavern that night. There was a few patrons besides the two of them, however neither of them looked particularly capable. So when the merchant approached them and asked if they were up for a small job in return for 200 gold, Steve wasn't surprised. The merchant introduced him as Harry and he needed them to retrieve an old family heirloom for him. Steve frowned slightly at the suggestion and glanced over at Wyatt, curious as for what the other wolf may think. Steve himself was less than thrilled. But he was working on taking others views in consideration.

[Lord Leo was by no means strict with leeway, but it was rare Niles was given a whole night off. He supposes the lull between fighting had a payoff after all.

Nobody had accompanied him to the tavern, but then again, Niles wasn't yanking anyone's chain.

The tavern itself lacked the homely environment (a cause of rowdy groups at every corner?), but Niles didn't pay it much mind. A few drinks later and it wouldn't matter.

So his attention shifts to one of the servers-

-and what a peculiar outfit. It leaves little to the imagination, and Niles wonders if there was a bigger role for them later tonight.

Niles doesn't bother to hide the teasing lilt coating his words when they are within ear shot.]

Normally strangers don't give me the honor of dressing like you. It's rather enticing, suspenseful even. [he smirks - he can't help it.]

Receiving something from you... I can only imagine the heat it would fill me with, down to my very core.
